Definitely wouldn’t have traded out the brembos for powerstop but I understand it’s for the sponsor lol

They "upgraded" the brakes by installing lower quality crap. If they wanted more power, a simple pad upgrade would have done fine. Couple weeks and those powerstops will either warp or crack at the drilled holes.

If I win it, can I get the Brembos back ??

not only that, but those brakes don't hold up to the rust belt part of the US. They last about 1 year before they are rusted and chunks of shit are falling out of them getting stuck in the calipers. Not to mention "race" brake pads they were talking about, do not work until the brakes are hot.. so if you slam on them because a deer runs out the car wont do anything til the last second

The pads themselves are actually nice have a scat pack myself. The brembo pads are nice too but a ton of dust. The powerstops seem to stop even tighter and have less dust. Don't have any numbers recorded though.

The hellcat will now murder this thing in a braking test lol. The stock brembos stop REALLY well.

@mike force why wouldn't they? Pretty sure the same 4 pot Brembos have been used since 06 to current, leaving the bolt spacing/pattern the same. I do know they're a direct fit on at least the 2015 and up SRT cars. A LOT of cheddar tho...

BaggedF100 Nothing wrong with turbos, they’re badass in their own way and often have their own niche that they fit in, personally I just expect most HEMI engines to be suited with superchargers because that’s more retrospective to “Muscle Cars”. It would be like someone buying a Nissan GT-R and going “welp time to rip out those turbos and put a blower in it”.

I'd still rather have a Hellcat. The jump in interior quality from pre and post facelift is just too much for me. Hate the gauges in the 09-14s.

I'm on the opposite. I hate the Hellcat, Charger dash and gauges. They all look the same.....like my pos 2014 Dart. The early dash and gauges look more retro to the 70 Challenger.

I like the earlier gauges from the 08 to 14s. They have that retro feel and look. The new ones look like a baboon with Down's syndrome.

I love this! These 2 hosts are professional, informative and very natural on camera. I can't wait to see the conclusion. The voice over guy however is trying way WAY too hard! Liked and subscribed in spite of him

@Ronnie Di Radmann it make 728hp and its 3 parts to this and they dont even show all of the build or dyno. they work on the 1100hp merc then in show 18 go to driving school and the owner drives the car, there is no race between them

I wish things were this easy. Especially the part about using the impact gun for everything. I used to be that optimistic but after cross threadening a few fastners i stoped using powertools to install things. I only use them to remove.

@@GT-43 what im saying is the 6speed manual use to have the most gears. But again tech caught up and surpassed the gears and lightning fast shifts we humans cannot mimic.

It’s amazing what you realize you can do by watching these videos with friends that have a lift

That's season 3 episode 11. That was a couple years ago, and Bob Bondurant actually drove it too! And it turned out to be an awesome car!

Word of note, leave the big half axel nut on when if you want to save them. Because if you hit them with a big hammer, it will damage the threads on the end if you don't!!! You will find it some what difficult to get that big nut back on. You might find it difficult getting a core credit from it if the big nut is not on it!!!

Technically hellcat is faster knowing that it’s too dyno speed according to motor trend is 225 mph, where as the demon is limited to 168 mph, the demon is much quicker off the line but after the half mile the hellcat would take over

Yea there is something special about that 6.1. I got one that still brand new with 16 original miles hemi orange. They are rare cars and from what I've read about the motor it's a twin plug design more like the old 426 hemi

This time on power nation: how to assemble a car with complete disregard to torque spec or replacing torque to yield bolt. "Hey bill what's the torque spec for this used torque to yield subframe bolt?" "I don't know John, about 20 uggaduggas on full power" Had to watch the entire episode to see if they really assembled the whole car just blasting it with the air gun, and unfortunately they did. Never once replacing any bolts or even just looking at a torque wrench. Don't get me wrong, complete respect for what they are trying to achieve. But at least research some basic assembly techniques. I really hope the engine isn't uggaduggad together like this, that'll be a short first startup video.

I have the same car, except mine is brilliant black with red hash marks on the front 1/4s and Scat Pack style stripe in back. The 4 piston brembos stop them in just 110' from 60 mph, which is pretty damn impressive for the big beautiful pigs 4k+ wt and is the one so-called upgrade they didn't need to do lol

So, you’re gonna build a car to beat a Hellcat... but it’s gonna cost more than a new Hellcat to build. Ok, makes sense. That GForce 9” kit is almost 9 grand by itself!

Thanks for the excellent video. I’ve been searching for a heads up on how to remove the front bumper on the Dodge Challenger because it’s the only access to the windshield washer reservoir which cracked for some reason and I can’t ignore the Low Washer Fluid warning light that keeps coming on.

The build is amazing, but itd be cheaper to sell your srt8 and use all the upgrade money and buy a used hellcat lol And youll have all the amenities and luxury of a 2015+ challenger
