Making 200cc mobile pressure washer
I decided to build a completely mobile washer that would be powered by an internal combustion engine and would have tanks, so I would not have to connect the water supply every time.
The washer turned out to be a very mobile machine, I washed two heavily soiled cars on one tank, including a large one, and about 1/4 of the water tank remained. The pressure washer is powerful and can be regulated by the speed of the internal combustion engine
I used biodegradable cleaners for washing the car, it does not harm the environment and plants

You should always avoid running the pump dry in any pressure washer. The water serves as coolant and as lubricant for the pump itself. Running it dry will damage the pump internally and it happens very quickly due to heat and friction. It will make less and less pressure at the nozzle each time it's run dry.

Yes and more importantly it prevents cavitation since this uses a centrifugal type of pump. Cavitation occurs when the pump has air in the line since air is compressible.

Yes, seems why some use a pulley design in between the engine and pump with an idler pulley engagement for engaging the pump. Let's the engine warm up and/or run without running the water and pump. Also, want to make certain you drain and run some sort of anti-freeze usually with a lubricant if you're in a region that freezes so the pump doesn't crack from the ice expansion if water is present.
@bidders77

Aye it needs to recycle the water with an unloader when it's running and not being triggered otherwise the pump won't last very long

Someone may have said this, but the only thing I would have done different is to use a see-through tank. You may be able to tell the water level without it, it just wasn't coming through on the video, not sure. Great build!

@@WorkshopFromScratch - Just add some 45° elbows in the tank - one at the full mark and the other at the "low" part of the tank and put some transparent tubing between them to create a sight "glass" to show your level.

I was afraid that after filling the tank, there would be a problem with pushing the machine, but it turned out that this is not a problem, even under load on grass, pushing is not bothersome, but when installing a larger tank, larger wheels must be installed :)
how many psi is the powerwasher? your work is great and thks for sharing it with us

Well I’m standing beside myself right now. I’ve got a karcher k4 and it’s fair for what it is but what I’ve just watched has amazed me. I’m not any good when it comes to pricing thing’s up but this beauty has got to be worth a fair price indeed. Superb video mate

I also have a Karcher k4 and Parkside with a slightly longer cable and I have had for several years and they work very well, Parkside a little worse because it was already under warranty twice but I have a large plot and I was irritated by the constant stretching of the hose, so I decided to build such a washer 😁 Thank you 😁
Woowwww.. nice..
Great build on this and the bandsaw, have you considered adding a little machinists jack or support on the end of your bandsaw where the cut happens? It flexes the material quite a lot with the down pressure. Not that it matters a ton but I suppose it's just a neat little addition to it
@WorkshopFromScratch
3 жыл бұрын
I was supposed to weld the support, but a stronger compression of the material is enough for now :)
From Russia, _those were _*_not_*_ heavily-soiled cars_ ;) And, if you have switchable tanks, i'd made the gun switchable too, with two 3-way valves on it (sorta like 5-camera phone, in order to not change ends manually) But overall, i love this concept.
Quedó exelente
When you said fully mobile I was expecting a pressure washer you can drive around in with remote pressure wands like the airports use for de-icing planes. You sit in a little command cabin that's on a mobile hydraulic lift so you can get the tops of busses and semi trucks and trailers.
Great job, but the weakest part is the lawn mower handle. You gonna replace it soon. Believe me
