The more pottery I produce, the more I'm amazed by your work. By happenstance, I'm currently working on a set of ~50 espresso cups (without handles) for a friend. While I'm reasonably happy with my cups, your exacting standards, clear intention, and precision in every step are all profoundly inspiring for my own continued improvement. @@OmaOmaOthere were brief pictures you can freeze frame on the video the one about making teapots from start to finish. There was also a frame showing a whole shelf of his work. It’s practical useful pieces which I really like. Have a look through that video and you can see pieces.

I'm not a potter, but have bought 25lbs of clay looking for inspiration to start. I am a chocolatier by learned passion and have made thousands of bonbons, all hand touched. There is something to be said about making 100+ things by hand look exactly the same, and my process had about 8 different steps to get my finished product. Your video reminded me of that and and patience it takes to get there. When a hobby becomes a passionate business you do what is necessary. Your finishing skills set you apart! Florian, I am a wood worker and boat builder who came to your video's via Alex. I was constantly in awe of how you use your hands as precision tools and your set ups for consistency. I have a wide variety of mostly antique hand tools that i use in a multitude of ways to achieve the desired results in my craft, but I can't tell you how many times my jaw dropped during this video. You are a highly calibrated machine, but so much more than that because you have the human touch. I believe the hand finishing imprints your signature all over a piece and your style is all of these. Thank you for sharing your skills, one day I will be enjoying my coffee from one of your cups.

I follow several potters and pottery enjoyers and a lot of them are very good! But none are the perfectionist that you are, and sometimes? You spoil me. Your work just has that extra touch of satisfying perfection that only comes with years and years of training and hard work, and it shows ❤ Hope Ciro's okay! That scream was very upsetting and I think we all had a jump scare 😂

This video was recommended to me by the algorithm. Even though I have never done any claywork, I'm interested in various forms of artisanal craftsmanship. I work with wood and metals myself. And most importantly I love my espresso. The quality of your video and the content you provided is fantastic. You, my friend, have just earned yourself another subscriber. Keep up the good work.

Once again your video reminds me that the making of a successful pot is not as much in the throwing it on the wheel but in the slow drying, working on the piece in multiple sessions and the careful eye to detail. Someone told me this week to treat each piece as if it's a masterpiece. You definitely do this and I definitely need to work on this more. Thanks for another great video.

I've moved back to my hometown where pottery is inaccessible. I did a beginner course and practiced almost all of last month and feel as though it wasn't enough and I it was just the start of something fulfilling! How could I possibly not get to the end?!!! Riveting, to say the least. And the pots are perfect. You ARE in control of every tiny stage--and, at the end of this video, you are less than halfway done! You leave us on the edge of our seats.

I made it to the end. Pottery isn't my main interest, so I wasn't sure why YT recommended this, but I love manufacturing. I like making things and making many things, which is its own skill. This was great. You have excellent consistency and workflow.

You are very inspiring. I’m very interested in pottery because this channel. I will try pottery in the near future!

One off work has something exciting, but doing a batch also feels very nice because you get to hone your process and learn how to do things better, faster, nicer.

I did make it to the end and this is wonderful, superb and brilliant. The combination of manual and precision work fascinates me. A bit like making sushi in a very weird way. The combination of simplicity and sophistication, I suppose.

Thanks so much, well, these will shrink by 12%, so they may be more appropriate. I do mention in the video that they’re more like “mini-mugs’ due to their size but let’s see. I’ve had a LOT of espresso in cups that are too big during my travels around the world and in Italy, where the espresso is just a pool in the bottom of the cup, it doesn’t need to fit it perfectly. Anyway, the title of the video really was to just give it some context, as opposed to just tiny cups!

I'm not sure how people like you function, skilled and disciplined workers in love with their craft, satisfied by the work itself and not just by the end of it and the reward of it. I'm personally appalled by the ridiculous lengths we've gone to, to ensure so many people have work to do, whether it is useful work or not. Whether they sell wasteful polluting junk or not. I can appreciate that you've found a way to create objects that are pretty useful, and that you're enjoying it. Personally I find myself wasting steel and energy on massive, ugly, costly decor. And I do not enjoy it much at all, much like I have never enjoyed any line of work in my entire life.
