I'm with you on hand sewing when you want anything just so. I'm also very particular when I sew in any gathering. Hand sewing them in would ensure you get an even distribution of your gathering which would definitely work for me. Fabric Mart is my favorite online fabric haunt too. Such great deals! Everything looks great! Thank you for the descriptions on the pattern ease, or it wasn’t easy!!! Lol. It helps to have some previous knowledge of the “right” or “challenging wrong” of the garment makes! Sometimes honestly, I say, “Well, if Vivmom had an issue, I know I’m not trying that one!” Have a great time on your trip and don’t forget us!!

I understand what you say about outfits without pockets being relegated to second class. I have solved that issue by making fanny packs in matching fabric or one I have that will coordinate with the outfit. I have also started putting a fanny pack on every day. I am 70 years old (I made my 1st dress when I was 11). I am at home by myself often and I decided that a fanny pack is an excellent place to keep my cell phone handy in case of an emergency. And a great place to keep Zenia's treats!! I love watching your makes for each month. Your choices on outfits are a great place for me and other sewists to be inspired for our next sewing adventure!!

I have been sewing for 60 yrs. and a long time ago I started doing the neck facing and sleeves after the shoulder seams. It makes life so much easier! Love all your outfits.

Hay girl! How have you been. A vacation I hope. Be careful, but have fun. California!!!!!! I used to live in Ventura, 70 miles north of LA. California is wonderful. You can grow the most beautiful flowers there, it seems to have the most wonderful weather, I loved it, but expensive, that’s mainly why I left and really crowded, don’t miss that. If you get a chance, go to San Diego, used to live there too, really beautiful. Have a blast. As far as your clothes, you always, always do the most beautiful work. Everything looks great. I’m excited for you too. 😀😀😀😀

Lovely outfits as usual you'll look great on your trip. You might want to try a ruffler foot and I'm sure your vintage Kenmore has one available. I don't mind doing hand sewing either but there is so much ruffled stuff now in fashion it saves a lot of time and it does a very even job.

My preference would have been leaving the elastic off the top’s waist. Still really cute on you. Hope you have a wonderful vacation. We all need vacations.
