For those asking where to find tools:
I bought mine some years ago when I was starting to make leather sheaths. I went for the cheapest I was able to find. Have been working great so far! Can't find exactly the one I have but I listed some in my amazon storefront that are pretty much the same and any similar ones will work aswell.

From the looks of it and the fact that he's using a giant cut and wetforming it, my guess would be a veg tanned double shoulder cut of leather. Two millimeters thick, from the looks of it. Dyed a brandy or bourbon brown.

Waxed canvas. It's similar to leather, though you would have to find some way to make pockets, since I don't think there's any material that wet forms like veg tanned leather.

yeah i always imagine...when the sawdust clears, standin there, this toolwarrior, wearing such toolbelt and apron harness, circular saws bounce off when put them down and they flip and the safefy is broken, or stop a nailgun or ramset bolt, hehe. and if you need to repel through fire, you would be ok there too. drills snagging no way. reciprocating saws, no fear! now thats one completely toolkitted out workwarrior! and look good and savvy doing it too with work like yours!

I remember him saying he got it from a local cobbler who was willing to sell him leather. He's wet forming it, so the leather is probably veg tanned leather, and if it's the same as his other projects, it's 2mm leather (5 - 6 oz I think). It's a big cut so probably double shoulder? Looks like it's been dyed a deep bourbon brown.
