Maker Knife Mods: CNC Machined Faceplate + Kydex Sheath -

I love my Maker Knife, but as a maker I naturally want to tweak and personalize my experience with it. In this video, I'll go over how I designed, machined, and (poorly) anodized custom faceplates for my Maker Knife. I'll also show my process for creating a low cost Kydex sheath.
PS: The faceplates were machined back in mid 2019, but it didn't feel like a worthwhile/complete project to share until I had the sheath. That's why I reference some cnc lessons learned from months after the faceplates were made, regarding SFM. 1/4" cutters generally leave nicer surface finishes than smaller diameter tools.

I enjoyed seeing your process. Your Voiceover is very informative as usual and the hidden humor is perfect. I really want to use Kydex for something now.

Seeing it in person has actually kept me up at night trying understand how you made it. Great work and hope to be reunited with it again in the future (aka in 2 months)

I have both gen 1 and current gen knives and I totally agree with your gripe re:closing, although I don’t think that the current gen really addressed it well Enough. I’ve been thinking of adding something to the inside face of the ring to build it up. Your solution is much better.

Can you share the DXF or should we reach out to Giaco individually? This has been on my todo list since I received mine, I just haven't gotten around to drawing it up.. the DXF would make it easier.
