This channel deserves over a million subscribers; so underrated for this caliber of content. I just started making videos and just started getting into the ABC's of editing. Knowing how long it takes me to do the basic stuff, I really appreciate the effort and time it must take to make content like this. LOL so many people have no idea how much work KZread actually is.

First off, thank you so much for taking the time out to explain everything in such detail! I learned a lot from this. :) SECOND OFF....the only people I can think who would dislike this are either people who are very particular about their computer choices, or guys who can't grow a beard...

Content creator genius to bring in your twin. I've done an old me vs. younger me but never on the same screen. That just hits so differently. 👍👍👍 I LOVED IT!!! I too have shot videos where either I couldn't shoot the whole talking head in one setting, or I found out the audio sucked and I had to reshoot when OBVIOUSLY you could tell I had a cold or allergies were kicking my butt!!!

Awesome video. You're right on point when it comes to computers. The Operating System you use no longer really matters. Windows, Macs and Linux are all great. I use them all as a web developer. They do have some differences, pro's and con's but ultimately, use what works for you. Your editing skills are sick. Great job!

Damn, i had to pause your video on my 55 inch 4k tv, i could not resist, i must add comment. My first camera was 40d canon years back when it was considered good. then at that point i was just learning ways to get max out of that DSLR, i had one friend who told me do not chase best lenses and DSLR bodies, but get a decent light. Which i did i got my first on camera flashlight that was pretty expensive, but i saw so big difference in quality and in options it gave me. after that i got wireless triggers + umbrella so i can make some kind of compositions. Next step was i got my first studio light kit, nothing fancy 2 x 500W(or 400W cant remember) but that was best investment in terms of money/picture quality.. so bottom line, you are so right, LIGHT is the key, sometimes its fun to go hard and use what you can to improve skills, but if you do it for money do yourself a huge favor get decent lights. especially when now we can get some setup with batteries and use them anywhere without hassle. Good video as always!

I found this out starting out my during my first "KZread" endeavour" channel. I used a Rode Video Mini Mic on my iPhone and couldn't figure out why I was getting static. I FINALLY figured out if you are recording on a phone...for the love of God, put it on AIRPLANE mode. Nowhere in the instructions does it tell you to do this!! I ended up getting two of these mics before I realized this! I now I have a Canon M50 and have to get a different Rode Mic, but lessons learned! Hopefully someone will learn from mine! P.S. Just found your channel. New fan, new subscriber and have rung that bell and looking forward to catching up on your content and seeing all future videos! I also agree that steps suck and I have mine in our sunroom, so I am not going in the basement or upstairs but I do imagine that eventually I will be upstairs in the loft.

Exceedingly useful information! I would suggest you view this overview as a lead in to separate videos offering a deep dive on each of the main segments. You could go into more detail and offer more optional info on each segment, i.e. lighting, audio, backdrops, background music, etc. Perhaps even develop courses or masterclasses on how to get your videos to look as professional as possible for a reasonable fee. Your video expertise is marketable. (I hope I’m not embarrassing myself because you are already doing these things and I’m just not aware of it!) Really well-done Jeremy!
