    Bad idea if you see it in long run the the motor won't last because the brush inside the motor will worn out within 1 month of frequent use as pc fan motor are designed to last more than brush motor that's why it is called brushless dc motor . Please don't do this if you have a running fan .

    I just use old ATX (or computer or PC) Power supply coz that's the only psu i have for testing and got it for free in junkyard, rated 350W total (obviously not real "maybe" coz it was a cheap psu) and constant 12v. ATX power supply can output multiple voltages like 3.3v, 5v, 12v, and -12v. I use 12v and ground. i didn't use any current or voltage regulators, and when i making the video i use ATX psu, but I don't recommend running it 12v DC or more that's why the motor died after few minutes running supplied by my motorcycle battery (i use it to grill chickens at gather together) 😂😂

    I have 5 fans I was gonna use in a box style flowhood of sorts (no, not true laminar flow). But the fans didn't have enough ass or create enough pressure in the box to blow thru the 2inch filters. I was gonna do this, motors should be here any day. But I don't believe I will get the speed and abt 2-3 hrs of run time needed. What if I take like 3 24v drill batteries and wire them in series? Would that give me the output and time range im lookin for? (that's what I did with all of my kids power- wheels, yeah the wires fried but after a good long while and a lot of fun). I know I'll have to alternate batteries but as far as fan speed and duration without burnout.? Thanks. Or is this pretty much the same/similar as a 12v supply?

    If you want cheap fan with high velocity or static pressure, you can find old or unused server fan but the biggest I can found in local market is 6cm and mostly 4cm. If you want 12cm one you can simply buy 4 6cm fans or you can search old school AVC fan or Delta one. If that's not enough you can spend more money by buying EDF fan and the ESC module, also buying servo tester module for controlling the ESC module or you can make it using Arduino nano.

  • @KazemitoHaruhi

    @KazemitoHaruhi

    3 жыл бұрын

    You're right, it will run slower and there's no risk running under rated voltage. But if you running way too much voltage it will burnt the coil and IC inside the fan let's say you have 12v dc fan and you run it with over 16v DC supply. If you want to make it run like it should be or little bit faster, you can add 2A boost converter or step up dc to dc converter and set it to 12v or more under 16v it will safe. There is version with micro usb connector so you don't need to solder usb cable and I use it on my cordless drill battery project, video are available on my channel.

Kalo Mau kenceng tanpa beli adaptor 12v lagi ya beli boost converter yang ampernya kecil.

    how to increase RPM of Intel stock cooler

  • @KazemitoHaruhi

    @KazemitoHaruhi

    5 жыл бұрын

    The simplest way to increase speed of CPU cooler is overvoltage it's fan, but since Intel's fan cannot handle high voltage (more than 13.4v), you might want to modify it. 1. Buy a cheap 12v DC fan *$1 or less (make sure not too big. 2. do what I do on this video. 3. remove Intel's CPU cooler. 4. remove Intel branded fan from heatsink. 5. glue or secure it with bolts the modified fan into the heatsink. 6. buy a DC Buck Converter module, so you can adjust the voltage from 0-12v, make sure not too long using 12v, or it might blow the motor. 7. This is not sponsored by Intel.
