I'm upgrading my Kilgrave police station pocket square, so I thought it might be helpful to do a video on how to make your own by hand!

Thanks, I’ve been wanting to know how to make these for awhile. Do you know how to do this with the x stitch over the hem in contrasting color?

Any recommendations on fabrics? Are silk fat quarter remnants ever suitable?

I found velvet pocket squares on a website and I’m trying to figure out how they made them with out being too bulky. The same company sells the same fabric by the yard so I want to figure it out in order to make my own 😂 I can sew, but I have no idea how to avoid the bulk

It's possible that the velvet pocket squares sold on the website were specially woven to have thinner fabric on the edges so that the hems would be less bulky than the main velvet fabric. When I weave dish cloths, I use thinner thread on the edges in a plain weave and a thicker thread in a waffle weave, or some other textured weave on the main part. Then when I hem them, the edges are flat and thin and just the right size to roll or fold and sew in place.
