Make your own gear tie for hanging ropes, hoses, cords, etc....

Utilizing the Bowline knot in some cheap cordage, we are going to make a hanger to better organize an airline hose. This type of hanger can be made for literally pennies and has a variety of different uses.

It's preposterous that I had to see this before realizing I could make more than one wrap around the hose before completing the cinch. Well done!

When I first stumbled across your channel you where doing multitool reviews basically on a daily basis. I wondered what you were about to do once you run out of multitools to review and I'm really happy how it turned out. These little videos are great and really provide helpful information.

creating a marline spike hitch without the spike.... super easy way to make a bowline

@@txtoolcrib when you fold the loop over and put the working end through the eye of the standing end you pull out that hitch is called the marlin spike hitch... you can make ladders out of it or the the bowline knot or put a stick through that eye and make a pull handle

Yes, you are correct. So long as you tie the Marline Spike in right direction. So actually it’s a loose slipknot technically. It doesn’t become a Marline Spike until you have a stake through it, but yes.

I guess I find a bowline knot hard to remember. Why do you not just tie the two end together into a loop and then hang the hose with a prussic knot style?

I'm not sure I follow what you are trying to describe, or how that would be more efficient for hanging up hoses.

I think the suggestion is to make a prussik loop with the fishermans knot and then girth hitch around your hose and then hang

Completely opposite for me. Bowline is by far the easiest for me to remember so I use it all the time even if other methods would certainly be more efficient.
