    A quick self clean cycle or a hot wash cycle after would remove it if it does. Most likely not needed due to the the water pressure but it wouldn’t hurt

    I don’t think it matters. The point he made was that the regular detergent strips moisture, so he replenishes the moisture with coconut oil and jojoba oil

    It's not explained well but he just means that you shouldn't use detergent without the oils added. Most dish detergents are the same.

    So, there's one thing I don't understand: soap attaches to fat/oil and enables it to "dissolve" into water. Now, why would you reduce the effect of the the soapy bit already by mixing with oil up front and reduce the ability to attach to the grime? Why not use soap first, rinse, then apply jojoba & coconut oil?

    this video is suuuuuuuuuper old. Like so old. I keep it up here because it's the only one people watch. But here and now in 2024 I discovered that "sneaker cleaner" is just overpriced castille soap. Natural oils, glycerin, and sometimes an essential oil for aroma. That's all it is.
