Thank you for a great introduction to IR Loaders. I just got an electric fiddle and have gone down the rabbit hole of IR loaders and effects. There are IR files available that capture the IRs of Strads and Grauneri violins!

After watching your video, I went out and bought one of the IR loaders from TC electronics. This wee box is magic - I can't believe the difference it makes to the sound of my (relatively cheap) electric violin!! Thank you for sharing!

I have a really nice electric violin, I haven't played it, in 7 or 8 years tho. When I last played it, it was exclusively, for 4 years. I became so accustomed to the sound, that when I went back to playing an acoustic violin, it didn't sound good. So I think it this device, will help to make the two types closer, and easier for me to go back and forth playing them. I'll have to watch your other videos. And you also mentioned before, on another , that you could put two bridges together, for a better sound. At least, I think you said that. I believe you also said, there was another video, explaining that, which I haven't seen yet tho. So that would also be an interesting thing to try.

Can the electric violin be used where only the player can hear it with earphones or ear buds so not to bother neighbors.

Wow! You can really tell the difference with the effects pedal! One question: is that violin harder to hold compared to an acoustic one? I use a shoulder rest and also put a Strad Pad on the violin I play the most (I only have two instruments, actually). thanks!
