Amazing tutorial, thank you! But I noticed all drops are vertical. How do you make them match along the emitter rotation, so it look like they have a bit of horizontal velocity due to wind?

I did the whole process and in the preview it looks fine, then I do "bake all dynamics" and apparently it does something... but when I start to render the video, only frame 1 remains with the particles. the other frames no, does anyone know what it could be???

Would be nice to see that after effects and see it rendered but nice tutorial

Make sure the subdivision surface modifier has the same number for viewport and rendering. Besides that, bake the particle rain and then the waves.

yeah sure! Just Apply the texture you want on the water drop that you used it for the particle system.
