The content creation struggle is real! But I'm like you, playing the long game. I know that if we stick to this and be consistent the payoff has no ceiling where as being a woodworker selling stuff we make really has its limitations. Another thing to consider....this is just the beginning for content creators. We have some power now but that power and influence will be tremendous 5-10 years from now. Things are shifting and the market will look to us as the marketing kingpins and not the typical media outlets that we have known in the past. If you are starting now, you are still early to the game.

Custom builds is where it’s at, brother! I’m currently doing this as a side hustle and my niche is custom furniture. 🫣😂 I focus more on high ticket sales (tables, desk, dressers, etc.) rather than low cost (cutting boards, cheeseboards, charcuterie boards, etc.) You just have to work with your customers about time management. Custom work takes longer, but it pays off way better. I sold a vinyl record cabinet and a king size platform bed quicker than I’ve sold a single cutting board. You just have to check your market. I sell my cutting boards for $120, and I only sold one last year. The cabinet and platform bed sold together for $5,600. I’m also working out of my garage. I would have to sell more than 46 cutting boards just to make that amount. I would get burnt out and probably quit. 😅 But I know custom furniture isn’t for everyone. Ben.....really enjoying your channel. When you sold cutting boards and charcuterie boards as a side hustle what was your best selling platform and strategy. Not everyone is up to content creation.....but wood working and selling as a side hustle can certainly be. After all, after I've created boxes and cutting boards, I've got to sell them so I can make room to create more. Plus the more I sell .....the more tools I can buy. SO ....can you do a video on your side hustle selling strategy?

I can! I sold a lot on instagram. Another great strategy is to sell to realtors or other professionals who can give the cutting boards to their clients as closing gifts. I never got into this, because I started spending more time on KZread instead. Hope this helps! I will add a side hustle video to the queue. Thank you so much for watching!
