First Aerosmith album is criminally underrated. So good.

Steven sang with a strange kind of voice on that album, but it's still great.

James James nice playing.!! i loved it when Steven sang this way.. i think as he got older it was just easier to sing scratchy like he does now.. lost that sharp voice. just a theory.

Wayback went to a Black Sabbath concert Aerosmith was Warm up band and they open with this song it was amazing and I loved Aerosmith ever since
First song off of Aerosmith 1st album ...we played it constantly back in the day, when it first came out---we were in High School and this song was BLARING. Our local claim to fame was Aerosmith practiced at "The Warehouse" (Waltham, MA-- my hometown) a mile from me. and...My first concert ,-- Aerosmith at Brandeis University for THREE DOLLARS. Great tune James J... 5 Stars!--van
Thank you for these videos you are opening people up to classic songs they may have never heard otherwise greatly appreciated
I love the raw sound of that first album, I'm a believer in recording live , it just sounds better to me.
one of my all time favorites
Nice work, brother.
JJ, you always amaze. My cousin, while attending school in Boston in '73, sent me this album for my birthday. Caught them that autumn with the New York Dolls opening for Mott the Hoople in Chicago . Our band snagged this for our opening number and always received requests for a replay. Zero airplay until '75 on the coat tails of Toys breakthrough.
Thanks. Your videos have improved my playing and understanding of deconstruction songs. I have gone from religiously following tabs to been able to listen to songs and work them through. I also love your eclectic taste, although I am a bit jealous of your gear!
Would have never guessed in a million years the E string was tuned down a whole step
I’d rather watch you blast through a song right to the recording any day of the week over some twit making a “lesson” out of it and talk for 20 min making it a platform for themselves! Not you, sir. No nonsense, here’s how it goes... Bravo dude. Thank you.
Nice job, I like that you played the rhythm parts in the solo, it's hard to find full tab for this song, watching you is helping.

I don't use tabs, I play by ear.

+James James I love that one too. My fav would probably have to be Tommy.

I love Tommy, but because it's a rock opera, you don't get a lot of different musical styles. The White Album has a ton of styles on it.

+James James I fully agree, The White album is far more diverse and experimental musically. But the intense musicianship on Tommy just stuns me every time.

Tommy could use a remix, in my opinion. The original production is pretty awful.
