I know that Autumn/Fall has arrived in many countries. But I couldn't resist making this beautiful stunning flower in gumpaste and thought you would appreciate it to. The Bauhinia Flower (or commonly know as the Hong Kong Flower) is very similar to an Hibiscus flower. I hope you enjoy giving this flower a go.

Sugar Glue / Edible Glue Recipe
Clean Container for storing the glue
¼ tsp CMC or Tylose powder
1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly)
This recipe is for a small quantity to get you started if you need more, just double the recipe. Take a clean container, add 1/4 tsp of CMC or Tylose powder, then add 1/3 cup of boiled water (that has cooled slightly), pour the water over the CMC or Tylose powder give it a stir or a shake. Leave it overnight or for at least for 4 hours until cooled to room temperature. It may look cloudy at first, with lumps, but don’t worry about this, the lumps will dissolve, and you will be left with a clear solution, that can be used on any edible creation. Once made up, it must be stored in the fridge and can be kept for up to 1 month.

🙋🏽‍♀️ I am! I’m so excited too! I’m new with gum paste and I’ve done 5 roses so far. Not perfect but they do look good and are cake worthy. I’m going to try this one next but gotta get me this wire. I just got a veining board 2 days ago and I love it. I don’t however Iike threading the wire through I feel like I will distort it. I prefer the ‘N. Lodge’ method of laying the wire on 1/2 the gum paste that’s on the board-then folding over it, roll and cut the entire leaf with wire embedded...out. But that’s one beautiful flower. I’m glad I found your channel. Like...really REALLY glad Sarah. 🙏🏾🙇🏽‍♀️❤️

I am super glad that you are excited. The roses that you have made so far, sound beautiful!💖 Making sugar flowers does take some getting used to, but plenty of practice definitely helps. The N.Lodge method you mention is a good one to do. I must admit it took me a while to learn how to thread the wire through the paste. So, it is always best to use the method you feel comfortable with. I have written a blog to go along with this tutorial, with further information on the equipment I used. Here is the link: www.arisecakecreations.com/decorate/blog-post-gumpaste-bauhinia-flower-dg7xk My KZread channel is still young... So, your comment is super helpful, since it is now helping me to know what content, you would like to see. So, a big thank you😊
