Make dinner with me (IRL)...a typical work from home day | Vlogmas 11 - Chef Julie Yoon

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Come make dinner in real life and spend a typical work from home day with me! I usually like to rummage through my fridge and freezer and use whatever bits and pieces I can find to stretch my creativity and be resourceful. Working from home as a mom sometimes means juggling, working in sprints, and having the mental flexibility to just roll with the punches as unpredictable situations arise. Thanks Diane…yeah he really gets proud of me when I do what I love and work hard at it. Even now, since Christmas is long past, I almost gave up editing these vlogs I shot for vlogmas, but he wouldn’t let me ❤.

Yay to Lincoln for finishing up everything! I loveee your teriyaki sauce recipe and I really loved this video. You are truly so talented, Julie. I wish I could whip up a delicious meal from leftovers like you do so easily. I am so happy you are vlogging now. Please keep going and i would love to see your random bits and bob meals from leftovers. Thank you, always!

Thanks Edward. I think in this phase of our lives, we had no choice but to slightly pivot our channel to include more realness…otherwise we’d have no time to shoot our normal style of videos everyone is so used to….and then our channel would be crickets. Glad some of you are enjoying it!

Haha yeah…I am definitely letting go of perfectionism through this exercise of vlogging for sure! And you know I do like to grab this and that and throw it together. I’m sure you appreciated the part with Lincoln and his cats too. This is all your doing 😂.

Looks so yummy! It's always a win and gratifying when the kids eat everything off their plate. I used to go to Costco to buy and freeze what we bought and found that we waste food more that way because we forget it's there. Now I use what we have and do our groceries weekly.

Yes kids eating everything is a proud moment for sure! I’m kinda like you about Costco…that’s why I don’t go there too often. And buying produce in bulk is a lot of pressure to use it all up before it goes bad!

Your vlogs are so comforting and personable. Really a gift for us and for you to enjoy in the future. I like the idea of showing us some of your unusual meal combinations and boo boos... all fun to watch and gives me great new ideas. Yummy charred flavors with teriyaki.. Seems easy to spend hours editing...watching a story take shape, as you said! Good stuff.xoxo

Aw you’re so kind. I definitely need to film more cooking IRL to show the flops and weird things I come up with. I should’ve filmed me messing up my Thanksgiving turkey this year too. At least I learn from my mistakes!
