Love this! So much fun watching you create something unique and useful out of materials which would otherwise just end up in the trash.

Time-consuming, but basically the free idea. The thin cheap ones out of wood are ranging $5-10 at the art stores. If I do decide to teach paint nights at my house, these will save me a small fortune for one evening of cutting and gluing. Thank you so much for this tip.

So going to try this! I have NOTHING to put down (like the glass), but that isn't a big deal, that's why the paper comes in a sketchbook :D lol. I'm a beginner at sketching and drawing so I need to learn using my whole arm so an easel would come in quite handy, but money kind of says it wouldn't :D lol

Cardboard is an awesome material. I like the added triangles for support

A pizza cutter and a straightedge works really well for making fold lines in cardboard instead of cutting halfway through.

Great idea! I repurpose cardboard as well. When I do this in front of little kids, they are amazed!

Awesome video, why stop at an easel with this technique? Plenty of other furniture ideas can be created using this method like chairs, tables, even picture frames just to name a few. The possibilities are endless. Well done!

Very ingenious - I will attempt it! I bought a large easel with the box on it to hold paints and it’s so heavy it collapses when stood up - back leg gives way🥲

Hello Sir! Can I apply this idea of yours in making an easel (I mean not a table easel)? , I want an easel but not a table easel.

Can i do with wood blocks? If yes, how can I connect the wood pieces?

But i doubt whether this easel will remain strong n will not fall, bcz how can it will handle the canvas weight? 🤔🤔🤔

this is on the cheap site and isn't very sturdy you can make one from wood easy and it would serve you for long time

Yes, some people may want to make one without having to spend very much money. And some have no tools to make one with, so this is an option. Plus I am working on a video of how to make a Wood version which is coming soon.
