I’m glad you did start doing videos. They come from a different angle and gives me something to think about.

The latest adjustment is the A2L thing. And you just *know* that we will come to find out there's a problem with them and we will be moving to something else yet again. Remember when they said Windows 10 would be the last version?

I definitely understand and sympathize with your situation. It was meant for me to see this video this morning. I also have a small service company that I run from home. My three year old has been diagnosed with autism and my wife has been diagnosed with MS. I’ve been trying to juggle this for the last couple years the industry doing service when I can, but looking back on it I am frustrating. A lot of my customers due to the fact, I cannot make appointments on time from the lack of stability from the lack of stability in my home, trying to keep up with doctors appointments and being at the mercy of their disability, needing my attention and their worth more than money. However, customers don’t understand its really a change in my life that I thought I could, still sustain however, after losing some of my best customers, I am considering revamping the plan. Finally bless you, brother and thanks for the insight.

Praise the Lord they figured out a treatment plan that works for your wife. I have been dealing with epilepsy since I was 14 (I am 40 now), I have not had a grandmal since I was 21. I still have the occasional aura but the Lord has blessed me to be able to work and provide for my family. God bless you brother.

Thank the Lord they were able to come up with a treatment plan for your wife. I know that was concerning at the best. I went for years without realizing or maybe wanting to realize things can go down the sewer in a blink of an eye! I made more poor decisions in a year than I had in my entire life. I took many things for granted but since that time I have sure changed that part of life. I try to be thankful for the good things I have now. I still can’t help but think back on all the screwups from that period in my life and it still bothers me to this minute! Making adjustments are a part of life for sure but sometimes the adjustments are almost like a change out. Nothing is the same from that time onward Really appreciate your talks and the subject material!

😊great video and your 100% correct after 20 years in the same field I had to make a change and that was into the hvac career it was easy transition for being an auto mechanic over the years. I would work part time in HVAC in the summers for a friend so I was pretty well-versed KZread and watching Ryan or you and other videos I’ve learned so much so I really enjoy the HVAC industry thank you for all your videos, they really do help. We are so fortunate to be able to self educate ourselves.

I’m glad you made this video, I have been doing HVAC for many years and opened my own business years ago and it has done very well for my family and I over the years, but recently I got diagnosed with some pretty serious health issues and it has put me in a difficult situation.. after doing HVAC service for years I feel like that’s what I Need to do no matter how difficult it has become. ..maybe It’s time for me to start looking into other options.

The Tech that came out to check my system was not that familiar with low voltage circuits.. cost me $190 for nothing. The system was still not running after 3 hours of his time. Same company sent another Tech, problem was, short in a low voltage wire, $350.00. Time, new board, new relay.

I wish Yellow Jacket or other companies would make more of the 300 #+ scales. I use 250 lb recovery cylinders a lot. Been in the HVAC trade for almost 25 years, still enjoy it for the most part. I differ than most as I work almost exclusively on chillers. I understand the medical situation, my wife is diagnosed with stage 4 pulmonary hypertension. May god bless you & your family. Lord knows without the blessings I’ve had, my wife would no longer be here.

I just rounded the corner on my first year out on my own. First 10 months, I did maybe 50k. Last month and half will close out almost 50k. I’m exhausted and can’t see myself sustaining like this. I’m a one mane show and almost 40 years old. It’s starting to beat me down. I realize I can’t do constuction, service, and install all alone, out of my little single cab Dakota. I need to adjust, just don’t know where.

Pick your customer, dont let them pick you. You might not be charging enough. Increase your service prices and change outs and you might get better customers. Dont chase low ballers who want everything for the cheapest prices. Those are the most demanding and will cost you money and time. Low ballers have destroyed more companies than you can imagine. Dont chase customers just to get business. A guy once told me your the busiist right before you go broke.

Back in about 1998, I took a summer class at the local vocational school. I didn't learn a lot because not a lot was taught. Looking back, I wish I had pursued it as a career. I struggled just being a clerk at a grocery store because I struggled to get better jobs. Now, I'm on disability because my arthritis is so bad. I think HVAC has the potential to accommodate people with disabilities.

I wam a tech and the company I work for hasn't changed in 35 yrs. They continue to do what they have been doing since the day they started. Any one that suggest any way different is shut down fast. The owners are close to 60 or older. They have no ideal on how to manage these younger workers. They run off anyone who is smart and intelligent. They just want dumb drones who dont ask questions and follow company policy. Miserable place to work. I'm out at the end of summer.
