Make a WORKING MAGIC ITEM for your D&D Game

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Using Invisible Ink pens and a UV PEN light to make a working magic item for Dungeons and Dragons. The best handout for your table top!
this build was inspired by my old UV light prop but this one is much more powerfull and simple to make

It's the absolute best moment when you see that look in the players eyes. It's why I love handouts and props

Ooooo saving this for when it's my turn to run a campaign! There's nothing that gets a table more into RP and generally playing like a prop, let alone a functional one! =D

Couldn't agree more! Best way to get the table active and excited. Also excites me to watch them get excited by it 😁 Hope it brings your table to life

My favorite "magic" switch is either a metal touch sensitive pad or a "vibration sensor switch" (they're little capacitor looking things with a spring and a rod inside. give it a good smack, and the spring hits the rod, closing the circuit).

Yer I would love to learn a bit more about basic electronics so I could make some more custom peices. A wand with a light up end that turn on when you pick it up would be pretty awesome

@@SebMakesStuff Oh! you could do an inductive charging coil in the base of something and it turns on as soon as it's removed from the field. They do something similar with emergency flashlights (emergency torches).

Oh yer, definitely a filmed game. Will be another 2 part one shot. We have a few of them coming up. Probably a little while till this one goes live as we have a special "dungeons and nerdetts" game then for our big royal gala game for the main campaign

Omg this build turned out awesome and gives me so many ideas for my game! I love how you did the milliput details. I also wonder if it would be possible to extend the wand using twisted some twisted fiber optic cords that converge at the end to light the quartz. I have an old fiber optic audio cable I can sacrifice, so I'm totally going to try this. Thanks for the ideas!

I would be very interested to hear how that goes! I've not worked with fibre optics before. But I'm very interested to learn more basic electronics so I can make some more custom and fancy things.

This prop could play out nicely in a witch light game. I really need to run the witch light again soon. It's such a cool setting
