Great video Tim, tks for taking the time. It was extremely useful. I made a slight modification which I think made it easier cutting the film. Instead of cutting the film in a circular manner and using the kiinex, I cut it in a square, but keeping the protecting paper that comes with the film while cutting it. It was a breeze, I didn't even have to use the gloves. Other than that, I followed all your recommendations from the video.

I found this video very helpful. I just made my solar filter using the same film from Baader. Thank you!

Thanks so much. Looks like I'll be trying this method for my one lens today...hope to nail it. I have a filter for my 67mm lens ready for Monday. Amazon sent be a cracked 95mm filter for my Sigma lens..., no time to get a new one. SMH!

Tim, now you have the telescope and camera ready for the sun, but I am wondering about any prep you may be doing for video/sound recording of your surroundings. Days short of my 74th birthday, this will be my first totality, and all my life I have heard about the reactions of our non-human friends (crickets chirping, cocks crowing, etc.). That is the experience of the eclipse I am really looking forward to (hope we don't get rain!). Any tips?
