That was a fun project! Nice job Caleb! Of course the best part was seeing your boys having fun with the sleds. Reminds me of me and my brother sledding with neighbors on the big hills back home (and some of our epic wipeouts!). Those are going to be great memories for them!

Thanks, I really doubt it! Definitely less than $20 of material each. And that just because wood is so damn high right now. With normal prices, probably more like $10.

This was such a fun build. Absolutely loved seeing them in use!! Enjoy!

Thanks! It takes a little bit to get the hang of it, but once you do it's pretty easy.

It does both, haha. Bigger would probably be better. PVC would probably be ideal since it's not as heavy.

Cardboard will work to slide on . Almost any plastic is very slippery . Don't step on it if it's laying on snow you'll be on your butt fast.it's -20 here in michigan where I'm at 6 or 7"s of new snow yesterday.so far we've gotten 42"s.

That's so wild to me! We have like 3" and everything is closed, we just don't have the infrastructure for it. Quite a few houses around me have frozen and burst pipes.

So, what is that HUGE machine on the skids? Looks like a planer but can't really tell. Thanks, Bill

you spent all that silliness trying to make the conduit aligned flat.... yet the first time it is used it will get bent again because............drum roll........... conduit is not tempered to be stiff... it will bend every time you ride this.

Drum roll…. My kids aren’t anywhere near heavy enough for that to be a problem. Years later they still use them.
