This is the most straightforward and simple design I've seen on you tube. It's strong where it needs to be and gets the job done without being too complex. A very elegant design.

Try loosening to fit and then tightening before smashing in same with the guides. You should key in the lateral forces or yolk in the brackets. Great vid though

Well, you inspired me. I want a roller bender to make hoops for steel wheels, even a cheap tool is expensive. I’m going to weld one together based on yours, using pillow blocks. I’m using a 3/4” threaded rod for my tensioner. Ordered all steel and parts already, total cost about $130 (plus my labor). Thanks for the cool idea 👍👍

I wouldn’t consider it simple, but it is very good.

I like this build. If you could source round stock of the correct sizes you would not need a lathe either. I have a welder but I do not have a lathe or a mill. Any idea what the smallest circles you can make on this machine? I like the use of pillow blocks. Thanks for sharing and I hope you are well.
