Jenny is a hero to all. I love that she real. She tells it like it is. Lining up the blocks with a sample block and repeating red goes here, red red and so on. No matter what she is teaching I feel I have a friend to watch over and over again with out lossing hope.
I love the way you decoded what looked like a very complex block.
Even though this tutorial was done 9 years ago, I’m still loving MSQC!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! Jenny, this is WONDERFUL!!! Making those old blocks easy makes quilting so fast and easy! I love the old blocks but get so tired of all the cutting and math. THANK YOU! Your the original IRON QUILTER !
I just learned a new trick from this old video...thank you Jenny! Sew with seam pointing up....you’re awesome! 👍🏻👵🏻💕
I'm working this quilt in dark purple and lavender. It's gorgeous! Thank You So much!
God bless you, Jenny, for figuring out ways to make these traditional quilts easy for us. I have so much to learn about quilting that it can sometimes be overwhelming when i have to use my seam ripper on a block that I thought was going to be easy! I’m definitely going to try to make this quilt now.
Just love how you explain little details that might come so naturally to seasoned quilters. I so enjoy watching your videos and learning from you. Thanks so much!
Jenny makes all her tutorial so much fun - she makes me laugh with her quirky way of doing her blocks. xx

I Love to see how you do the Quilts , you make it look so Easy love your stuff THANK YOU , Ramona
I've always loved this pattern yet dreaded making it! Thanks for such an easy take on this lovely pattern!!
Dear Jenny, thank you very much for your tutorials. I learned many things from you.You make everything so easy. YOU ARE THE BEST ! I live in Russia and I feel like I have a great friend in USA. Thanks again, you are fantastic !
I recently completed a king sized Jacob's Quilt for my grandson Jacob, for his high school graduation. It went together great. Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials.
OMG fantastic!!!!! Absolutely stunning!!!!! Words fail me, as always fabulous tutorial, thank you so much
Jenny, you make these look so easy! Thank you! I would never have attempted this without your help.
Dear Jenny, I'm looking your tutorials within a great enthusiasm. For that I am a beginner in patching and quilting, you've shown and learnd me so many practical things, so I have to thank you so, so much. Not any book explains so easy and makes busy to do the same as you show. Every Quilter has its fun, after every tutorial, I'm sure. Thank you again and show us more, margaretha
This is the quilt that got me hooked to MSQC and Jenny.
A great tutorial. I was amazed at the results of the finished quilt and learned so much about colours and contrasts. Thank you so much. Can we have more videos please?
Love your tutorials. You make everything so easy for us to follow.
Thanks MSQC and Jenny for this idea. Would love an updated video with measurements etc. Last time I improvised with a layer cake my math was way off. 🙁 Can you get an all red layer cake? That would be cool.
It’s April of 2020, and I am using this for my “Covid Lockdown” quilt. The only thing I did different was I did the magic 8 on the layer cake to get 8 HSQ, and then used a matching jelly roll, with white for the background. I have a pinwheel left over from the jelly roll, and the “half” 4 patch will be used in the border. Thank you, Jenny, for a wonderful quilt!
Another fantastic tutorial. I loved your finished quilt on the wall as well as the demonstration top. It is so nice and easy to see the beautiful quilt patterns on the solid, or "almost solid" fabrics. I love the beautiful patterned fabric, too, but they don't show off the actual quilt work the way simpler fabrics do. Thanks!
I made this in king size. I used 2 layer cakes and 2 jelly rolls in batiks that come in 2 of each of 20 prints. I found you have to measure the layer cakes to make sure they are square and square up each hst. I cut my layer cakes to 5 inch squares.

Hi Jenny, I just finished my Starburst quilt and want to begin my Jacob's ladder ;. I really love the brown Jb's ladder behind you could you pllllease do a tutorial on a Jacob's Ladder quilt using different color contrast
I’m working on a Jacob’s Ladder quilt now using all sorts of scraps. For the HSTs I cut the squares just a tiny bit larger than needed. After I press them open I use my fabulous Bloc Loc. Perfect every time.
it's really incredible how easy you make it, thank you, you are my inspiration!
The two-color Jacob's ladder is just beautiful . And I think using scraps mixed with a solid could be a brilliant way of making your scraps pop! Wonderful tutorial! Thank you.
You shine with talent!...I love it!
Just started making this one for my Son's 21st Birthday. He saw the red and white and fell in love with it as he is a Manchester United fan here in the UK! The way you explain how to do things and the tutorial videos are fantastic... these are by far the main reason I began quilting - (albeit only a month or two ago) you make it all so easy and fun - Excellent :D
Once again, you made it so easy! Thanks, Jenny!!!!
GREAT! So easy but looks so impressive! Thanks Jenny...keep those great ideas coming!
It's absolutely stunning!! You always take something that looks hard to make and makes it sooo easy!! Your the best!! I have learned so much from you. My mother my grandma always making quilts. They would love to know that I'm also doing that.❤. Thanks for all you have taught me!!❤
Ok, first let me say I love watching your tutorials. But... in this video you say you made the brown Jacob’s Ladder using a layer cake and were going to show us how but you actually used jelly roll strips to make the red & white quilt 🤯 🤷♀️ I would actually like to see how you make a Jacob’s Ladder using a layer cake. This would be a great update video.
Am I the only one LOVING the red/white combo?!?!? Online order placed, snow and cherry Kona on order now! Thanks Jenny (and the MSQC team!)

Hello, I'm a beginner quilter and enjoy your tutorials soooooo much! You make quilting look so easy and fun! My question is this.... I would love to attempt this quilt but do not know how many charm packs and jelly rolls is needed to make a queen size quilt like this. Two charm packs and one jelly roll for a twin? 4 charm packs and 2 jelly rolls for a queen? I'm so not good at figuring this out. Please help!!!

Perfect simple and fast... Love it ... Thanks Jenny
I would love to make the Jacobs Ladder quilt using the brown fabrics that you used in the quilt that you have hanging behind you. Can you please help me with fabric selections so I can make one?
I have made three quilts now from your tutorials! Now I am going to start this one. Tomorrow I start my cutting! Could you post the cutting measurements? For me it was a little hard to catch. Love your site! Keep us laughing and quilting!

Wow! Thanks for this wonderful tutorial.
I LOVE THIS.... THANKS Jenny, your wonderful.
Love your tutorials!
I love most all of your tutorials. BUT, I wish you had shown us how to make the scrappy brown one behind you in this video. You have 2 videos with 2 color Jacob's Ladder but not a scrappy one. :(
Love Jacobs ladder. Could you do a video on the one hanging I the back. I love how that looks can't figure you how it's done with a layer cake. Thank you in advance,

Some of the layer cakes (10-inch) are cut into 5-inch patches, 4 patches per layer cake. Some are cut into four 2-1/2 inch strips for the 4-patches. The important key is that the 1/4" seams need to be really accurate because there is no room for error this way. I'd rather cut yardage a little wider (e.g., 2-3/4" strips and 5-1/4" patches) and trim as needed. My concept of 1/4" varies from patch to patch! Ha!
Another quick terrific lesson ! ! ! Thanks & keep 'em coming.
a wonderful tutorial. looking forward to the fun i'll have in making it. thanks.
Muchas gracias porque he aprendido mucho y sigo aprendiendo de sus tutoriales .Dios la bendiga y siga compartiendo esa alegria al enseñar.
Hi Jenny, Your tutorials are wonderful. I have some Charm Packs and this pattern is ideal. Many Thanks and Best Wishes.
I will have to try this. I love the color orange and blue, purple and white.
I have learned so much from your tutorials and love your enthusiasm! Thank you very much Jenny & MSQC. Would you please clarify why you say that we need a Layer Cake to make a Jacob's Ladder quilt when your demo uses jelly roll strips and charm packs? I'm confused. Thanks for your help.
I love that you have a master to look @. I have to do the same thing as you.Such a beautiful quilt.Again Thanks for sharing this video its so helpfull
I am also interested in the green quilt behind you. And love the Jacob's Ladder shown, too.

Great video! The quality is like Hi-Def!!
how do you do it with more than one fabric. The varied one is also lovely. LOVE this quilt. This then the Irish chain followed by the 9 patch /fence rail are the ones I am determined to do- then another rag quilt.
I just love it! Thanks for the tutorial! 🌺🌸
I just made this block. It went together really easy. Thank you so much for the great job you do on these tutorials.
Excellent tutorial Jenny!!!!
I love all the tutorials. Do you have a tutorial for the double wedding ring quilt I see in some of your tutorials? Keep up the great work. You have made a lot of friends on the internet 😍

awsum Jenny. You are a newbies hero!! Hope you & yours have a great thanksgiving!
Muito lindo ! Obrigada por compartilhar !
I love the blue quilt to your right. Is there a tutorial about how to make it?
Another great tutorial!!! Thanks !!!
Would you please do tutorial with the layer cake?
I also would like guidance on how to make the multi-colored brown tone Quilt Jenny had displayed behind her while presenting the tutorial on how to make the red and white Jacob's Ladder. Thank you.
It's so satisfying to watch you iron. Everything is flat and crisp and perfectly matched. Thanks for being awesome!
awesome teacher easily explained.Going to try and make one. Thank you .
I love it! Thank you for sharing!
Wow.....lovely work love your movies ......
Love the way you put your quilts togather. Wonted to know if you have a easy way to put a taxes long star quilt togather.
I see others also love the one on the wall behind you -- please tell what you used to make that multi-colored one? jelly roll strips? how did you get it to go from dark to light and dark again? Thanks.
I bought that amount and have 64 x 12 inch blocks made with some for a 4 inch border and binding. This makes a 100inch square quilt top approx in my case. good luck with yours!
Missouri Star Quilt Company i know you said a layer cake but seems like you could make this whole quilt with charm packs and do the scrappy 4 patch technique but with the same two colors. seems it'd be a lot faster than nesting jelly rolls? I love the quilt on the wall i'm new to quilting and i have some snowbird print charm packs i think i'm gonna try this one to be my first quilt!
This is my next project! 💕
Loved it , thanks!
You are my favorite teacher so cute 💗 I love you
so nice and good designs.thanks teacher.
Great work
