Just curious, but what is the profit on one sticker? Doesn't seem like much, and I'm wondering how many you would have to sell to make that much.

I had a hard time removing the background cleanly (when making the mockups) on some of the white background designs and found a hack! Instead of removing the background, I positioned the sticker "to the back" behind the hand. Worked better than trying to remove the background on the designs without a lot of contrast. Zoom in real close and position exactly between the fingers.

R u paying attention to how the mockup of the sticker is accurate to its actual size? Like in comparison to the hand. Otherwise, I would think customers would be mislead by the size of it.

Great video! I was wondering if you could show us how to make a sticker in Canva to print on Cricut. I can't figure out how to make a border around the image so there isn't a lot of cutting done by Cricut. Like making a "blob" around the whole image, as in the cat on the book in your video. TIA

I can't believe Printify charges $4 for shipping a tiny sticker. What a rip. lol And on a side note, a coffee tumbler I was gonna use for a product was just removed from their store. I spent so much time creating images for THAT size and now they're oversized. Grrr, Prrrrrintifyyyyy!!

Sold a ton of them. Stickers seem to be selling better than lots of other products.

I have a cricut and i plan on selling physical stickers! Take this concept but make them myself and have way higher profit margin!

It sounds like a good idea, but trust me when I say it will be MUCH harder to scale when you are doing all that printing and shipping yourself. Your day job will be fulfilling orders instead of listing and growing your store. It's much better to take lesser profit margins and be able to scale to a bigger store.

Heey Anji, Newbie to Etsy and POD here! Im in the UK and planning to sell art prints/posters, theres lots of different poster products to chose from on printify, would i want to chose a poster product for my design that has a European location rather than U.S? Does it depend where the customer is ? I don’t fully get how it works, if a uk customer buys it will it come from a European warehouse and if a USA customer buys it will it know to send it from a U.S warehouse ? Sorry for the amateur question lol thankyouu!

Hi. I personally only sell in the USA and use USA print providers. I would recommend to sell where your provider is otherwise the customer may have to pay duty fees.

I’m in awe of how anyone would pay $6 for shipping for a small piece of paper. This is crazy!!!

You are not your customer. There are plenty of shoppers out here who don't think that is crazy and will happily spend that.

On Etsy you chose USPS as the carrier for shipping. Is that accurate since the Printify vendor is shipping for you? Or does it not matter what you put in Etsy and you chose USPS as just a placeholder with little/no meaning? Also, I want to confirm, you don’t sell stickers beyond the USA based on how your turned off other locations in Etsy? Do you have a specific reason for that? Thank you for your help! This is the first sticker video I’ve been able to find with info on shipping costs and such!

Correct, the shipping doesn't really matter because you aren't doing it. But you do need the shipping times to be accurate for your customer. USPS first class is what most things are shipped with from Printify. I only sell in the USA because I feel there are enough customers here and it involves less headache dealing with international. Thanks for the video Anji! While this specific sticker (the black cat one) sells for $6 + shipping, when I check etsy...a lot of the competition is selling for like $3-$5 and with free shipping. I wonder how are they able to do that and how can we compete with them?

You're welcome. Sellers are often looking at prices and thinking the prices that come up in their initial search are THE holy grail. That is not always the case. I like to look at data. Top listings prices (such as the one I showed in this in this video). And I also take into consideration what the overall market AVERAGE is for that product and keyword. Sale Samurai says the average price for stickers (using that keyword) is $5.06 with a shipping price of $3.10 So that tells me I can list in that ballpark and still be competitive. If you're in a low competition niche and customers like your design - they will pay your asking price.

I recommend upgrading to kittl pro if you want to download the image with transparent background and be able to sell it. You will also need a credit card on file in Printify to be able to fulfill the order after the customer buys.

I do think that you can have multiple product types in one store: As long as the vibe is the same and feels like they belong in the same store. I also think one product type stores work well also. It depends on your personal goals and the vision you have for your store.

Print on demand and etsy are eating a big chunk of the profits!!!! :( I'm lucky to have my own roland BN2 20 printer and to be a professional graphic designer... I will open the etsy store at the end of this month ☺️

On Kittl....which AI tool are you using for stickers? I see multiple AI tools

Wow. You lose a LOT of profit if you use Printify! The minimum a die-cut sticker costs there s $3.51 while I've been paying $0.58!!! If you're shipping anywhere in the US, a forever stamp works, so you're only looking at only $1.26 for the cost of both the sticker and shipping it to the customer. I charge $5/sticker so that's a much better margin.

....AND it's impossible to scale because you become a slave to fulfilling orders instead of listing more and building out your store (to then become passive income). I thought higher profit margins were better too... until I did it. Then I realized it's easier to scale, and frees up your life to take less profit margins and make more sales.... when you do print on demand with Printify.

I'm confused about the sizing. You have it as a 2" x 2" in Etsy, but the description in Printify states 4 sizes. The mock up looks larger than 2" based on the hand size. Did you only specify 2" x 2" in Printify?

Etsy is where you sell them (the marketplace). Printify is the wholesale partner with the inventory so yes printify must print them for you to ship to your customer.

Printify is always free. There is a premium upgrade option that is $29/month that saves you 20% on all products. That is optional and something you can do as you gain more consistent sales. @@gloriagibson5453 you can take your image to Photopea to remove the background for free. I highly suggest looking at a few videos on Photopea to get an overview how to use it. If you need help with Canva etc. there are a ton of videos here on KZread that will teach you.

So true! I thought it would be better than midjourney since I have troubles with it, but kittle is even worse. I cancelled my subscriptions and also went back to canva and midjourney

Canvas has free mockup you can use it .

I know you’re not an over thinker but that hand mock-up shows the sticker way bigger than it really is, compared to the laptop image, which is sure to disappoint your customer who may not have carefully read the sticker details.
