Love how they look. I was self taught. Just graduated from school and they honestly don't teach you how to do nails. You're taught the legal stuff, infection control, chemistry, anatomy, how to properly use efiles and that's basically it

I actually hear that a lot from the ones that have finished school, everything else was learned hands on. Congratulations on graduating! ☺️ I was bound to start school, had done orientation and everything and then COVID put that to a halt and now the school isn’t offering the class at all 🙁

These came out so good! I haven't used my DIY Inks in a while. I might need to do a set with them again. Keep up the great videos.

I was taught to use alcohol not acetone to spread inks & always over Matt finish. I see acetone works. I am also self taught with help of the nail community that I follow. Beautiful nails thanks for sharing with us.

I always thought alcohol also, especially on artificial nails, I’ve noticed if I use acetone on the cheaper drugstore ones they start to melt 😂

Try using rubbing alcohol. It will disperse the ink more. Acetone removes it more. Just a friendly tip.

Also the acetone can dissolve the gel polish underneath, where as rubbing alcohol does not. Plus I believe makartt even says on their website/in the instructions booklet to use alcohol.

Instead of buffing try a Matte polish so you keep more of your base color 🥰

These look really nice. Idk if this helps, but the blooming polish kit i bought came with matte coating to give it that dry look and that helped the blooming polish. Instead of buffing it. If u have matte polish u can try and see if it works for.

Do these fade in color when wearing like sharpies do?

I think you were seeing the purple in the fuschia one because of the colour of the alcohol after using the azure? I had this problem and well and I just needed a clean dappen dish!

I am struggling with this kit. Put a white bass and when I put the ink on it dries so fast I don’t have time to even get it to spread put

I know you can even do this with alcohol markers/sharpies, and some alcohol. So why wouldn't alcohol ink work. Just do'nt use acetone.

How do you stop it from bleeding when you top coat it ? Matte or gloss top coat it always smears and change the look of it

I came here trying to find someone who knew too!

I was using alcohol because that's what the instructions said..or maybe I read wrong. So my nails just look botched lol. This video helped me big time! Will retry tomorrow.

I do think, now you have actual clear blooming gel, which you can use with gelpolish, thidmethod costs a lot of time, and it's confusing they are named the same at most shops 😅
