****VERY IMPORTANT NOTE**** I've noticed confusion regarding the new account-wide speed buffs. So I wanted to clarify 2 points: 1. The "Account Swim-Speed Boost +20, +25, +30" (yellow) apply their buffs to the "Account Swim-Speed Infusion" (red). To benefit from the account-wide speed buff, place the red "Account Swim-Speed Infusion" on the character(s) you want to receive the extra speed boost. 2. The yellow "Account Swim-Speed Boost +20, +25, +30" do not stack with the +15 from the red infusion. Instead, they replace it. - If you want me to make a separate guide just on the account wide boost, please give this comment a like. If there was enough demand, I'll do it.

This is a really clear and nice guide about the swimming infusions. I did not know how to interprete the update notes in this regard. Thank you for showing us all the important news. This was super helpful! 🙂👍

Allow me to collaborate. I do it in a more practical and cheaper way, I park my main character in front of the NPC in Lions Arch, I leave all the keys in the shared inventory and park an alt in each chest, so I can change characters without having to pay WP and waste time moving. Just press to deposit, then when I'm satisfied, my main buys the infusions. Of course, this depends on what you have available in your account.

Nice video! Question: I did a fast Google for this but found no answer. What's the comparison between the swimming speed we get from the swim speed infusion compared to the travel speed of the underwater skimmer?

Good question! I don't think you'll ever be faster than the Skimmer mount in water even if you have the highest speed infusion of +30. Generally speaking, Swim Infusions are most useful when you're in combat, and that is when you'll start noticing some speed differences.

So, about the Account Wide-Swim Speed infusion. I bought the Account-Swim Speed infusion (+15) and then upgraded it to +20 and then equipped it on THAT same character. I then swapped to a SECOND character, went to look at their Aquabreather and it has no infusion on it, nor does it say that it's being increased by +20% swim speed.

The account wide bonus is just that, a bonus buff. It will not give you a +20 Siwm Infusion on all characters, but it will apply the effect. The best way to test it is by being in combat underwater and see if you'll notice that you're swimming with the same speed as the character with the +20 infusion. Just make sure that you don't have any extra speed buffs, like signets or swiftness, etc.. to be able to compare the swimming speed accurately

No. You can buy a maximum of 10 keys per week, but you can open the chests as many times as you want. Just keep in mind they will only reset and you can open them again if: 1- You finished the entire Master Diver achievement 2- You waited for the Weekly Reset on Monday morning So for example if you have 100 Rusted Ornate Keys, there is nothing stopping you from finishing the Master Diver achievement over and over and opening the sunken chests every time

I had 67 keys in my bank, so when this change was announced, and I learned that you can double click the keys and it shows you the location of a chest that can be opened. So I started clicking my keys and noticed that it only showed me the same five or six chests. This confused me because the chests were resetting without me doing all ten chests, and I used almost all of my 67 keys before I took a break. I got over 200 +10 swim speed infusions along with a lot of other items from the chests, and made a few gold selling some of the materials. I’ll probably use the rest of my keys today.

thanks for the info.... seems silly, but it will bite me in the ass if i dont give some attention. Seems like a bit of a money sink, tho

It is indeed a bit of a money sink. I think it will become more clear how important the swim speed will be as we know more about the upcoming expansion

*facepalm/sigh*, a couple weeks ago I destroyed a stack of keys and around 80-85 more I had just lying there forever... because "bleh, this is useless to me, I rather have the bag space" ... >_
