Major Rollover - Big Rig Lands on a Fire Hydrant (Rotator Recovery)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Major Rollover - Big Rig Lands on a Fire Hydrant (Rotator Recovery). This tractor with a loaded container rolled over right at the intersection of Atlantic and Firestone. We didn't realize it until it was time to lift, but the tractor landed perfectly on a fire hydrant, which made us have to do a little bit of a game plan change. On top of that, the container landed against the world's strongest street light, literally bending the container in the middle.
This made uprighting it tricky, since a straight upright would further damage the pole. To counter this, we first rigged to the top holes, then went up and in to pull it away and off the pole. Form here, it was show time. Hulk and Big Flipper, assisted by Mark at Mr. C's Tow in the front, got this back on its wheels. Unfortunately, it's never that easy, and we encountered a pretty bad load shift that we had to correct just enough to allow this unit to be towed away.

What I like about your channel Josh, is no dramatic music no panic from you and your dad just getting on with the job..Well done...regards from Ireland x
Well Josh , Dad & Mark from Mr. C's Towing along with the LA fire Dept .. !! Great recovery as NO damage to the light pole or hydrant !! Hope the ride to the Repair yard went well !! Have a good week & Thanks !!!
You did a great job on a wacky recovery. I enjoyed your tag-teaming. Thank you...

Haha thanks, whacky recoveries are my specialty
I love watching professionals at work; in any profession. You’re definitely a Pro., and I especially love the respect you give and show your Dad. A lot of second generation forget that those they disrespect are the ones who built the business, and literally invented the techniques that THEY take for granted.
VERY cool video Josh!! Your play by play was very good also. CRAZY how the light pole just destroyed that container!! The fire hydrant was just an added bonus for fun!! Also, I LOVE how your dad is never content to just stand back and supervise, He jumps right into the thick of it EVERY time!!

@@matta3888 Honestly, he NEVER waits for someone to ask. He just jumps in and does what needs to be done. Doesn't matter if there is other people on hand to do it. I admire him for that VERY much!!

@@bgmckddy that's what you call a great boss to work for. The boss jumps in & does the same job he expects his hired help to do. Josh is the same way as his dad, they jump in & do what is expected of employees.
Amazing work as always. Being a retired engineer, I see all the angles and interference in my head without thinking, and you have an amazing eye for it! When they stopped to make the cut in the sleeper, right before, I was thinking - you need to cut it, and then you did! Que bueno!
Josh, y’all are amazing. Watching the truck and trailer both get torn up by the pole and the fire hydrant was something I didn’t expect!
Father and son team work 🙌 💪 that's great 👍 you guys are awesome
I can not comprehend why a truck driver allows a roll over like this. All I can say is ‘rookie ‘ .
That's a wild scene and thst fire hydrant just did not give a single f about a semi laying on it Thanks for sharing!
I hated container loads. You had no idea how the damn thing was loaded so I was super careful with them when I had to run them. Never had this happen to me thank goodness! Great job on a difficult recovery!
Josh, I love the way you and your dad work together. Total coordination! When you're flying solo, though, you should stick to the GoPro so you can work hands-free. The Sony has great quality, but it's clear you're working with one hand, and we're missing action when you have to put the bigger, more cumbersome camera down so you can use both hands.
Josh and Dad awesome job great teamwork with each other and the other contractor! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Josh, excellent job on fixing the image stabilization, video is real smooth now! I say again, I love the image clarity from that Sony PRO camera! Josh likes it tricky, cause its tricky to lift that load around the hydrant, its tricky, its tricky! 😁The pole seems to still work, just needs to be bent back in place, but the button is toast though lol. The city doesn't take a liking to municipal damages though, so the company will be fully liable here. Expert recovery job as always Josh, loving watching you work with your dad! 😃
Great job! Amazes me how people loosely load heavy stuff!!! Should have had solid wedging on sides all the way to top of load then in back to door Enjoyed
It's not fun unless it's hard - I love that.
Just another wacky weird Josh recovery that I love to watch!!
One of those recoveries where you are glad the FD make the call on what to cut/trash i guess! Especially with a Fire Hydrant to protect incase it gets damaged .. more money there to fix than an already damaged cab! Takes a bit of load off of your shoulders to make things a bit easier. That was one tough lampost sheesh lmao!!!
you guys rock !!! , awesome job , great teamwork !!!!! 👍🤓😎🤯
Good job, Josh
Good job Jr, I’ll put in a good word to the boss! Lol
It was COOL! great video! 👍🏻💙
Containers haulers must be keeping you guys busy
Josh and the giant banana! That is one messed up container. And recovered with grace and professionalism as always.
U GUY'S R TOTALLY AWESOME AT WHAT YOU ALL DO WITH THE ROTATOR. PHENOMENAL FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE

Another great video.
Great job!!
Great Team Work With Pop's And Other Company. That Was Crazy 🤪😳 Stay Safe.
Yeah that’s cool. The streetlight still works after that trailer hit the pole
Great job, thanks for sharing.
It's the little thing's that matters 100% (Safety is the first rule to follow.)..... If more folks would follow that. Your job would get boring. As for my oppion towards your video...... Dude I love LA for 40 years as a driver... You take me there every day and I can relate to every job your on. This video you break it down and talked us through every step. What an educational video for those that think they can keep up. Keep them coming youmg man. You make me proud to be an American....
Mr Josh Another cool video. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
This one was really interesting, so many plot twists it just kept getting better
Good evening from Southeast South Dakota. Let's tear up so hill's brother's.
Another great recovery by Josh and Dad. You guys were in my old neighborhood. We moved from Boyle Heights to Cudahy, it's been almost 50 years since I left. The "hood" has changed a little. You should have gone to Jack in the Box to get some Papitas!
Nice job guys. Great video.
Thanks for another cool video. I really enjoy watching you guys work. I have been a fan of cranes since I was a kid and just started watching rotators. The amount of precision and care you guys take is nice to see. I like how you explain everything and we get to see all the decisions and collaborations necessary for a safe lift. I’m glad you had your camera for this one. Thanks again and stay safe.
First class ! ! !
Super duper nice job,you are the man!

Insane they didn't de-energize that street light.
Nice team work 💪🇺🇸
Always very pleasant watching you and your team doing such an amazing job! 👍Greetings from Belgium. 🙏
Sawzall to the rescue. Great video as always. Hope you guys had a good feed at Jack In the Box.
Whenever I see 35-60 minutes, Ya!! this is going to be a good one!
Very cool move counter weighting
Good one. 👍 Trucking Co. vid "how not to load a container". Video 2, driver training: "slow down when making 90 degree corners ", your load might shift.
Good job. I have been to the In-n-Out just one block West.
What can I say, when you're good your good 👍!
That was the gangster lean
30:28: "Let's try it and maybe we have a miracle" LOL
WOWZERS!
Yes very cool 😎.
Good 👍 One
RAD RECOVERY!!
All your video atr great like all of them.
#1 team
Mmmm. Cutting fiberglass with no eye protection and no gloves. But great video of the recovery.
Oh no… that truck cab is going to need a new passenger side mirror.
I'm surprised the hydrant wasn't taken out and giving us a Cali-geyser
Great job josh. I noticed that somebody's missing.. (your video man dom) maybe thats why no aerial video. Nice video.
I want to see the video from the traffic camera on that traffic light pole.

DAMMMMMM JOSH YOU NEVER SEEM TO AMAZED ME YOU ARE JUST SO GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO SAY HI TO PAPI CHULO JOE 💋💋
the load must have shifted
Another great video? Where’s Dave haven’t seen him in a while?
Did you get some jack in the box? While you were there.
Side note/question. Did they make you put your remotes to control your trucks down while the fire department was doing their thing??
i think that is a traffic light pole, Josh, not telephone pole :)
If you play this at 2X replay speed the guy sounds like Michael Peña.
7:36 I’m surprised the traffic light pole is still standing
I've been to a Jack in the box I had me some GOOD Food 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
How, just how did that tip? Load shifting? ****EDIT*** Yep, load shift! Thankfully it didn't flatten any other vehicles!
You have to save the equipment because longer
Is the whole thing a right off
The load in the container was just... bails of tin shavings? Weird.
If they want to get rid of the container I would love to have it ,only one thing, I live in NC
What does a recovery job like this cost to do? has to be upwards of $10k
