Major ROLLER COASTER Coaster Renovation - The Return Of Colossos | Full Documentary

Ойын-сауық

Europe's fastest and highest wooden roller coaster is located in the Heide Park Resort in Soltau. The amusement park has been characterized by the 60 meter high ride since 2001. With a top speed of almost 110 kilometers per hour, “Colossos” was a real crowd puller, with around 20 million guests traveling in 15 years. The restoration began in 2016. New wood, new rails, new technology - the report accompanies the extensive renovation of Germany's most popular wooden roller coaster.

Roller coasters are truly the most underrated pieces of engineering marvels in existence. Everyone only thinks about how fun it might be, or just ride it and think naught more about them, but they are such complex and advanced pieces of engineering. You see wooden trestle bridges being immortalized as "important" and "incredible", but you never see roller coasters like this being praised on an engineering aspect. They are truly incredible. I LOVE roller coasters, and when it comes to the engineering aspect, particularly wooden roller coasters like this one. I always have loved it, and always will!

Fyi Colossos is the 2nd tallest wooden rollercoaster in Europe, the claimed height differs between sources, but the manufacturer claims it has a height of 53 meters and I trust their claims over any other. Wildfire at Kolmarden in Sweden has a height of 56 meters, making it 3 meters taller.
