First finally 😂…… those fish are insane but I really struggle with liking the body’s they remind me of body builders just not my style I guess!

Thats how to grow when you care really well for these fish its not an easy job too reach this size it will take years. These days we also have azukari they let the fish grow in warm water too increase the size much faster then in colder water.

I know I'm in the minority but I don't find koi at these sizes appealing. They are too submarine like. Conformation, skin and pattern...just too much volume .

I know what you mean, the very largest become distorted looking, the area around the eyes and the humped region that connects to the head, it's not so beautiful. On very large fish the white often becomes slightly yellow. Too much emphasis on volume, the body is too thick and less supple.
