Isn't it the dealer's responsibility to form the main and side pots before dealing the rest of the hand?

Dealer here, and i can tell you that is indeed the dealers job. The player shld also be watching the whole time, not running away from the action. All that said, its still clearly a scumbag move by Men, who i believe purposely took advantage of the situation

A huge event like the WSOP and they can't refer to camera footage or anything concrete to figure it out? That is a huge fail on The Horseshoe's part and shows how cheap their parent company Caesar's Entertainment really is in putting money into customer satisfaction and only is there to rake their profits from their marks.

We don't know for sure Men cheated. The video of him pulling his chips back isn't the smoking gun everyone is making it out to be. He covered the two other players and the side pot was split so it makes sense that he would pull his chips back. I think this is a dealer error

The video of Men Nguyen taking back some chips is silly it's no proof of anything. If player A was allin for 4.5m and player B reshoved 10m, called by Men, then he had a side pot of 11m with player B. As both held AK, they shared that pot, so it's just normal to take back these chips on that case. As for the main pot, we are left with nothing confirmed, the real stack sizes before and just after the hand, if there had been action until the redraw, if the dealer had separated both pots properly, etc. It's just impossible to tell anything.

The dealer has to create the main pot and side pots. Why this wasnt done before the draw is crazy. It doesn't make sense though. Why is his stack not in front of him, so after the hand its counted and the blinds are set apart. Very weird hand. If i go all in three ways i put my Chips in or a single chip but confirming the all in while verbally, why was his stack somewhere else, why did the dealer not collect the right amounts from each other player. Soundy skiddish. Maybe even dealer other player scheming

    a) dealer should have had chips in the 2 pots. b) player who won should have stayed at table and not celebrated. c) WSOP should checked video or if they knew chip values checked stacks. Could have counted men’s stack. d) be wary of men at your table.

What’s crazy is there been accusations of him cheating like this for decades. Before “moneymaker “ boom even back to when camera weren’t all over. Been accusations all the time over last 10 years yet nothing happens. Yes he’s an old school poker celb and respected by casinos staff but how long and many times will he be allowed to cheat with no repercussions. One of my poker buddies in home circle even had a run in at Bellagio 5/6 years ago. Accused him of pulling chips off the table before calling an all in. Even before the floor came He had nerve to ask my friend to go outside of course he’ll oblige. Then he said no we wait on floor and they clearly saw it and made him put back 2 1k chips but it was more like 6 chips he took off. Started making a scene saying check his pockets knowing they can’t an won’t.

There are only so many competent dealers out there willing to do the job. The bigger the even, the less competent the average dealer will be and the more other avenues are needed to make up for that and assure the integrity of the game. I'm not saying anything personally about this dealer, and clearly everyone is human, but this is just simple logic. I could easily see a team of quick-moving chip handlers that come around and sort out the pot whenever there is a side pot or all-in situation just to take some mental load off the main dealer.
