Everyone has a history. Some people have a legacy. We are excited to welcome Maj. Joshua 'Cabo' Gunderson, commander and pilot of your F-22 Raptor Demo Team.

The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team performs precision aerial maneuvers at airshows across the world to demonstrate the unique capabilities of the world's premier 5th generation fighter aircraft. The team also performs with the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation to showcase modern day fighter jets flying in formation with World War II, Korean, and Vietnam era aircraft.
The team is stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia. In March 2007, the team participated in its debut air show at Tyndall Air Force Base. Since then, the team has performed more than 250 demonstrations across the world.

Met Cabo this morning at Mather Field... and introduced him to an 11 y.o. boy who had been entrusted to me by his mom at the STEM expo, a little boy who is ALREADY studying for ground school after taking a #youngEagles orientation flight with a local @EAA chapter. This little boy so impressed Cabo that Cabo mentioned Avery BY NAME from the stage! This young man will never be the same again! Thank you, Cabo!
One of the most awesome things I have ever saw, was a F22 demo. Best of luck and God bless America!
Loco did an impressive job representing the U.S. Airforce the past two years. Had a chance to see the demo's he was a part of several times and got to meet him. Best wishes to him and look forward to seeing the new demo pilot in action.

Racked Up Bubba Loco is now instructing new F-22 pilots. The demo pilot position is only for 2 years!
AWESOME! Ends up having an Eagle IP in Klamath Falls whom he had met as a youngster 12 years earlier. The IP was the F-15C Demo Team Pilot at the time! You just can't make this kind of stuff up. This is the magic & the professional drive of a young American fulfilling his childhood dream & as he says, his destiny! I wish that there was more, more, more of the F-22 these days. No one even has to say out loud that it is #1 on planet Earth! Thank You!

Air, land_combat 2017 The Demo Pilot position is for two years. Loco will be transitioning back into the squadron to teach our newest F-22 pilots as an instructor pilot.
