I’ve been looking for this comparison! It’s a unisex scent, cold feeling, dry. and to my nose, a little peppery. I don’t smell the rose. I prefer to use it on my scrubs at work instead of my skin. Elegant, refined, smells like freshly printed paper money. I get the crispness, the ink, the paper scent. This is an old money scent, classy, understated, high quality, low profile. The cost is $125 for 40ml versus $30 for 100ml. The scent is a strong like, but not a love, I’m happy to try Grise for a daily driver. Great review! Subscribed!

Thank you soooo much! I'm gonna definitely start out with the Maison Alhambra Grise, the original is too expensive $350 for the 100 ml bottle 😮 they don't even have it on some of the stores. Probably just Macy's. Then i'll compare the original once I have the chance to try from a sample haha

In my opinion, Girse by Maison Alhambra doesn't smell close to Gris Dior. It's maybe 50-60% there but ultimately is a completely different fragrance. And the dry down is much more feminine than Gris Dior. I don't recommend this one, personally. As expensive as Gris Dior is, if you like Gris Dior and think this is going to be an accurate clone, think again.

Does the clone give off the same quality and elegance?

Grise is about 7 hours

is this a good projection or sillage some people on fragrancetica said it's no projection and online skin scent is that true?

Maybe they need to let the new bottle sit first. A lot of middle eastern fragrances need to be maturated first before we use them. It will get better after a few days, weeks or months.

I own both these fragrances. To my nose there’s a BIG DIFFERENCE. The Dior product is much more sophisticated, glamours and more woody. Grise is way way sweeter and more floral, and cheap, which of course, it is. I think Grise is more appealing to a younger market who buy Designer frags.

How well does it project? Does it have a good sillage?

Im not sure…I haven’t smelled Oud Wood but I wouldnt imagine that this scent would be anywhere close to Oud Wood..
