The iPhone rant is accurate. The reason Apple changed the charging port is due to the EU government mandating that devices use the same port to cut down on the technology waste. Apple tried to fight it but the EU said be in compliance by 2024 or prepare to have their devices removed from market until they do. I’m a nerd!

So funny thing. Apple was in a lawsuit with Europe about monopolizing the market and making people have a different charger for their iPhone vs all their devices. Most devices now are USB-c and now you don’t have to buy an apple charger you can buy ANY usb-c opening up the “charger market “ to competitors. Super annoying at first and then it kinda makes sense down the line when you can use your computer charger or GoPro charger to charge your phone 😅
