This is hands down one of the best video write ups I've seen on anything pertaining to a motorcycle. Great job man, very articulate and specific and that goes a long way with stuff like this. Ill be using these two videos as a guide as soon as my clutch takes a shit.

He doesn't say it, but the factory service manual says 7ft/lbs (10Nm) for torque on the clutch spring set. They do not indicate one for the install of the clutch cover

Excellent! You show that it's much easier than what people think to be. So clutch is kinda like brakes. I always thought it's just two pieces of metals putting together.

@199Xray Thanks for the advice. Normally people assume a modern Ducati. I have a 74 750. It's probably much different than what you are thinking. I checked two adjustments on the outside of the bike. I think I have to go in.

Nice vid. I have a V-Strom 650 making some funky clutch noise with about 31k miles on it. I was a little concerned about doing it myself but this doesn't look bad at all.

@cashstore1 If u haven't already, Try adjusting the clutch assembly by the foot peg. It may to tight and not letting the plates fully engage. Hope you get it sorted out. =)

Nice job. I've got a 2018 Wee Strom and the innards looked exactly the same. The notches that are on the fiber plates aren't specified to go to the outside, but I guessed that according to the manual drawing they do, if it matters. One friendly suggestion. Get a tripod, or a cameraman with a more stable hand. At times the camera was shaking badly and/or not pointed at what you were doing. Cheers.

Think I messed up somewhere cuz I took the cover off and it looks nothing like that. Now I'm staring at all these pieces and don't know what to do. 😢 Just gonna give up at this point.

I have a dragging clutch on my ducati. I have to go in and take a look. Nothing is cheap when you are buying ducati parts. I need a chipmunk to help me too.

the entire assembly for the older ones is $208. theres fuck all difference between the two. slight sizing here and there. it would be maybe $100 more worse case. but thats for the full assembly inc. main driven. go geese some oem parts suppliers relevant to your country.

@Wilks89 I think $200 as a matter of fact. lol

Your camera operator must of od'd on coffee....horrible constant movement. This would of been a good vid and more helpful if camera wasn't constantly jumping around.
