I know you mean well, but I have a couple of notes. The proper clearances are 0.10mm for intake and 0.23mm for exhaust. Your caption is off by a factor of 10. And the best information I can find is that you should rotate the engine in the direction it runs, i.e. counter-clockwise. I believe that's also what the arrow that appears in the inspection port is telling you.

first time i tried to get my seat off the cord had shooken itself loose or the dealer didnt put it in right so i had to stick a flathead under the seat to get it to come off.

Yeah, the quality control is a little suspect. Still finding the odd nut laying around...no clue where they come from

Great show! There is another video out there, in which the person doing this task is adamant about turning the engine counter-clockwise, or else you can "damage the engine". This contradicting info is very confusing to a beginner, as both of you guys sound like you know what you are doing, essentially making this a 50-50 type of a decision. Oh yes...and on top of this, some people also claim that the RO manual is wrong...adding that into the mix really makes me question my reality, as these things should be simple and straight forward, without being open to such wildly differing interpretarions... Basically I have no idea who or what to believe anymore...:(

I'm a newbie as well! The measurement in the manual is wrong that is why I had to put the proper measurements in the title. You should rotate the engine in the same way it runs but I really don't think you'll damage the engine slowly rotating it in any direction.
