Deep in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado BNSF freight train H DENPVO crosses the Colorado River in an area known as Red Canyon between Bond and Range on the Dotsero Cutoff. Although Union Pacific owns this line BNSF operates a significant portion of the traffic due to trackage rights obtained when UP and SP merged in 1996.
