Maine Winter Camping & Hiking w Beginner Tips | Alone in Mount Blue State Park | Frozen Lake & Views
Thank you so much for hanging out on this one with me! What a fabulous adventure in Maine *starry eyes*. I seriously loved hiking and winter camping in Mt. Blue State Park (even if I broke my micro spikes early into my hike up Center Hill before camping!). The views from the park headquarters are so nice. They have an ice skating rink and heating yurt up there as well, once conditions allow.
Only certain state park locations allow winter camping, and some of them have even cancelled that option this winter due to staffing/conditions. Definitely call ahead to confirm before you go into the state park campgrounds during the winter open dates.

Just a few basic ones, but still good reminders every time I go out for the first time in the winter season 😄
I love Mt. Blue! I was up there last weekend as there is a summer camp up there on Webb lake and I did a winter camp out with a large group. It was so nice.
