Maine Wildlife Trail Cam Adventures | Fisher and American (Pine) Marten Trail Cam Footage

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Enjoy trail camera footage of both Fisher and American (Pine) Marten taken here in Maine this winter. They are both in the family Mustelidae, which include, otters, weasels, skunks, and mink. Fisher are larger and darker, while marten are smaller, reddish. Both are very active and busy, hence hard to get them on camera.

Ah, thanks Mitch! I'm really going to try and balance my editing time, even though my editing is simple compared to most YT channels. This 9 minue video took me hours to sort through and edit, and I loved every minute of it. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and am glad you enjoy the footage. More to come soon!

Awesome as usual Colin. This is making me long for winter again. I got very little Fisher footage here in Poland this year. I did get some of a female feeding on a coyote killed White-tail. I also have a short clip of one scent marking on a buck skull. On that marten with prey given the time stamp don't rule out Flying squirrel. I know I rarely have a camera set here that doesn't wind up with a flying squirrel as an incidental capture. Keep up the good work .

Thanks Alan, I'm looking forward to next winter for sure. I think you are right, this very well could be a flying squirrel since they are nocturnal. It was a thought I had as well after I finished the video. I enjoy your footage as well. Cheers from Gray!

Great footage, I've seen these critters in the woods behind the house from time to time. I wanted to ask what do you do to protect yourself from ticks this time of year since you obviously spend a lot of time in the woods?

Thanks @RDH 693 Ticks are horrible this year, and I use Repel with lemon eucalyptus as I don't want deet on my skin, or fingers as it eats plastic. I also completle stip down and do a full "tick check" when I get home, with the help of my wife. ;)
