I'm a native Mainer and another great lobstah experience is in Boothbay Harbor. Cabbage Island lobstah bake is worth the money. You will need to make reservations though as it is very popular. They take you from the docks on a 45 min boat ride to the island where you have your feast of two fresh lobstahs, a baked potato, baked sweet onion, clams, corn on the cob, an egg and the most delicious blueberry cake.

You two made this video as exciting as a root canal.

The butter bath lobster roll and the lobster bisque looks ridiculously Awsome😋😋😋

This is so good! Thanks! Looking so forward to being in Maine in the near future! It has been on my bucket list a long while.

Firehouse Restaurant in Chicago has great lobster bisque.

I am so happy I stumbled across this video. We are visiting that area in June. I just love the way you take in the local flavor and traditional foods. We try to do the same wherever we travel to. My mouth was absolutely watering every time either of you bit into a crab roll! We are from Ohio, and really appreciate the difference between our locally served lobster, and fresh coastal lobster. I love the way you were able to explain the differences in preparing the rolls at each stop along the way. Thank you for sharing your journey. We will definitely be following in your footprints. Not sure where in Maine you’re going but anywhere on the water that serves up fresh catch lobster usually does the trick. Lobster rolls are easier to eat but getting one lobster dinner has to be done…also blueberry pie!

Lobster roll looks killer. Never tried it. Yummy 😋

Trenton Lobster Pound will dry ice ship lobsters, lobster rolls etc to you. Pricey, but authentic Maine Lobster dinner.

That pie looks serious too.

As a Maine 'ah, The Traveling Lobstah had me salivating! The only way in my opinion to have a lobster roll is smothered in buttah!

Yea that was our favorite style for sure, although I think the one at Claws was the most soaked in butter

You might not have known but drinking the juice out of the claws is an amazing way to whet your appetite for eating the lobster. Check the price of clam juice in the grocery store. They don't sell lobster juice because everyone drinks it before eating the lobster. Enjoy!

2:50 I haven't been to Maine in decades, but, my dad orig. grew up in Rockland, ME, and I was up there a few times as a young kid, and then later for a bit of a family reunion outing to Rockland and nearby areas, in 1986 (Fall). As a kid I recall being with my parents at the famed Lobster Fest/Neptune Fest there, which was glorious. Anyway, we had plenty of lobster the last time we were up there, and none of it disappointed. That roll you are tucking into in this video is the real deal, I can tell almost by just looking at it. Same with going to the famed Wasses Hot dogs in Rockland: if you had been there in the 70s to 80s, you know how bloody good it was. I dunno about now. YOu can get lobster rolls now in NYC and East End LI, but,...are they as good as Maine? Nah.

Comin from San Francisco soon , was in Boston last year and knew i shoulda made that trip up north smh

I’m going to Bar Harbor fr the first time in 2 weeks. I been to Portland and southern Maine. If you guys do a second video, I love the Cliff House Hotel, really good breakfast and lobster there too. Do you like Bar Harbor area or Portland better as far as lobster goes?

I wish that you disclosed the prices of the rolls and your lunch totals. Yes, I know that prices vary by the year & season or even the day's catch at the dock prices. As someone who's been traveling Maine for 50+ years, the prices lately have been eye-opening; $25 to $35 for a roll is not unheard of Crab rolls are considerably less and just as tasty. Fied clam rolls lately are even more expensive than lobster. Watch a clammer work and you'll understand why. But it's ALL good! And maybe one of the best reasons for visiting Maine! PS, imagine living there and having that food anytime?

Try Mcloons lobster shack rated #1 of all and KZreadr mark wiens on his vid and the other guy, said it was the best of all by far out of all the places they reviewed! Can’t wait to come try a bunch myself! Definitely going to Mcloons!

We were there during the first 10 days of October and pretty much everything was open but they were getting very close to shutting down for the season

@@AdamandMadalyn Absolutely try them and the place right across the street from them. Just a 'little' shack on the side of the road but perhaps the best in Maine? And you have to get their scallops - the best I've ever eaten.

We appreciate that! To answer your question we pretty much only splurge on food when we travel/film ourselves. When we’re at home we do a lot of meal prep and keep the diet fairly healthy 👍🏼

Corrections from a Mainer: Maine IS the largest lowbush blueberry producer. They are the sweetest and best tasting blueberries on the market. There has been ONE Bean factory in Maine - it closed. Unless he is talking about LL Bean - there's plenty of them. Maine has not been a contender in the potato race for about 100 years.

For the record Karen, you said you didn’t eat seafood because it was shellfish. Food from the ocean or “Sea” is by definition, “seafood”. There’s something I’d highly recommend you enjoy next; it’s a long leather cover object with several white pages, called a book.
