I think the reason why Paulo failed against Giovanni is because Giovanni made his power truly his own while Paulo merely stole it from Lear. Also ironic he was using Team Break but they used him instead. I figured Hoopa was the one who sent Rockruff to safety in time, if only Tina found him and told Paulo sooner. Seeing Cynthia, Lance and Steven wiped out that easily was an eye opener.

I was happy because I thought that's what happened. Ghetsis used that situation earlier, that idiot! He can mock Paulo all he wants but the real loser between that original situation was 1000% Ghetsis. Although for now, Paulo got floored but he became enlightened at last to his flaws. I love that kind of development.

Wow, I am surprised that the emotional theme that Tate sang for Jirachi is played as the background music in here at the end. I am not fully recovered from that sweet moment with that lmao I know not everyone likes Paulo here, and I don't blame them for that. But it is so nice to see Paulo reunited with his dog again, and he will save Hoopa to repay it back with Rockruff together for saving his partner and to atone his mistakes. At least Paulo is able to use his tactical strategies with good intentions now Also oops, DeNA didn't notice that Paulo was speaking in Japanese for a while in Chapter 2 and 5 lmao

I mean, I enjoyed the final few chapters, but I can't help think they feel a bit rushed, just given how long we've waited for Paulo to snap. I was hoping him being "the last evil" would carry into whatever the next storyline is. I don't really care about another PML. That was kind of a vanity announcement for Lear. But the idea of the villains interacting with each other and teaming up against your rival, who has been corrupted, to defend themselves and their organizations, and perhaps even aid the player to bring him back to his senses (depending on which villain leader we're talking about here), and Giovanni and Ghetsis trying to play the situation to their advantage just felt like something they could have built on more and it's disappointing it's ending so soon.

​@@MrChomper4SmashTrend Pretty much from the moment he said "let's go fight Team Rocket" it was obvious that it wouldn't last much longer, but I was hoping that it would grow from a mere plan into a credible threat. I've always wanted a friendly rival corrupted into villainy, since it would be interesting to see it explored more, and is one of my favorite character archetypes, and we waited pretty much three years of teasing for it from these guys, so it's inevitable what little we actually got was kinda gonna be disappointing for some people like me who wanted more.

Way Giovanni took Hoopa it’s like how Lucas gained dialga from Cyrus. Makes me wonder if it can happen more
