He didn't lose, he just stated he didn't raise the river because he doesn't think he can get paid by a worse hand, which to me is absurd I am very shocked he doesn't raise river for value, trip tens can easily call him and there are even worse straights that can call a raise. Theoretically even villains specific hand Q8cc might bluff catch and call a raise not believing daniel has a value hand. VERY VERY shocked he JUST calls river here

interview yes but they are not advancing anything. POKER WAS BIG SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL IN STATES. THE LONGEST GAME WAS PLAYED FOR 8 AND HALF YEARS AND THAT TOO BUY INN WAS MIND-BLOWING 1K( BIRD CAGE THEATER). IMAGINE VALUE OF 1K IN THOSE DAYS LIKE 100K NOW. DAMN!! SO NOBODY CAN ADVANCE IT. Sure some people don't listen lol, it was a mistake in the edit Daniel knew what he had, knew he won and knew there was no point raising because as he said they would have folded (the implication being unless they had one of the few hands that beat him)

choctaw in OK does hand for hand the best IMO. Every table plays an entire orbit. If you bust, you stay seated. After all tables complete the orbit, busted players share any prize money. i.e. if bubble is 2 away from money and 5 people bust, then all 5 split the money that the 3 paid places would have paid. Speeds up the game, short stacks are OK getting it in in this format, etc.

Fun Fact in Ireland a black cat's are considered good luck.

They've been holding tournaments for a long time (PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, and the WPT at one time) so it's not new. They'll probably just stick to what they've been doing and not have a regular room.

Bad dealers will make mistakes in the count, will be slow (especially counting side pots), and will often flash a card they're throwing to a player. Good dealers don't do that. What I also saw good dealers do - they proactively change your chips, not waiting until you only have 5k chips left, and BB and ante are 1600, and they have to change after you post BB, which will slow the game ...

I gota say, you guys look great for pushin 50's. (Phil and Daniel) Hellmuth might be 50+. I also know its not JUST money, you have to work and keep up with things.

I miss wsop and wpt early 2000s when internet players just started to bring their playstyle to live tournaments. Tables filled with characters like Mike the mouth, the unibomber, Chris Jesus Ferguson, the god father doyl Brunson. Now poker is more about playing the odds than the person which is fun and has grown the game. But those older final tables were something special.

The one thing I respect about Daniel is that he can be critical of Hellmuth but at the same time pay him his dues to what he has done for poker.

100% should be some sort of shot clock in hand for hand. Long tanking is so annoying.
