Totally agree, would have to loved to have met her. She was a fascinating, beautiful elegant lady who was well ahead of her time. RIP Beautiful Maila ❤️
I learned about Ed Wood in the 80s from a book about bad movies, compiled Michael Medved. I couldn't wait to see Plan 9! A few years passed and one of the cable channels (TBS ?) ran it. I loved it.

When the progress is in progress everything is ok because there's still startup money. The movie business is the same as any business. When the film/business fails and the money runs out, the shit has finally hit the fan!!
What a tale
Do we know who stole her memorabilia from her family yet? I know there is supposed to be a book, The Vampira Diaries coming out... but it was promised in print in fall 2019 with a gofundme raising almost $21,000..then a release in early 2021..seems like the project is having trouble. Is there any more reliable information on any of these topics? I'd like to buy Vampira merch ethically for once..meaning, in the name of (in)human decency, her FAMILY should profit. 🦇

I too recently was asking about this. I bought the authorized book about Maila written by her niece Sandra, nearly completed reading it, but even SHE mentions in the book that there are people who are profiting off of Vampira without the right to do so. I was one of the fans who donated to the book being put out by Johnny Coffin back in 2015. He recently stated that it will be released December of this year. It would be nice if someone could reach her niece Sandra Neimi and find out if the upcoming book we've all been waiting on is authorized or not.
