yes, he won Sanremo twice ... three if you consider "Sanremo Giovani" (Sanremo Young), he participated in the Eurovision twice, finishing second (the song set streaming records) and sixth!

100% live, he's an amazing performer with awesome vocals. My favorite this year. Check him out on covers' night, a different voice range.

Sanremo is not a selection to participate in the ESC, Sanremo was born before the ESC. The ESC was created by an Italian inspired by Sanremo but involving all European countries. Sanremo can be considered the "mother" of the ESC. The singers participate in Sanremo for Sanremo itself and not for the ESC. The winner has the right to participate in the ESC, but the winner was not always born at the RDV but refused by letting the runner-up participate

The voting system is quite complex: 1- tue- all 30 acts performing voted by press-tv-web jury 2-wed- 15 acts performing voted radios jury 50% and televote 50% 3-thu- same as wed for the other 15 acts 4-fri- covers/duets night all 30 acts performing voted by radios jury 33% + press+tv+web jury33% + televote 34% 5-sat- all 30 acts performing voted 100% by televote At the end of the night all votes of the 5 nights are combined in one single ranking chart and top5 songs will be revoted, starting from zero, by radios jury 33% and press+tv+web jury33%, televote 34% 😊

What’s the difference between the performances on Tue and Wed/Thu?🤔

none, while on Tuesday all the 30 artists perform, then they are split in two groups and perform again on Wed and Thursday. And they perform all again on Saturday for the final. The performances are more or less the same, they may add some more dance moves, and of course change outfits. You also need to understand the Sanremo is a big show, with performances by other artists as well, sketches and interviews to celebrities, monologues about hot topics etc@@beansx21

Each singer was dressed by different designers and stylist (I think all italian)( like Armani, Etro, Gay Mattiolo, 3cc..)

Sanremo it's not made to choose who send to Eurovision, we have the contest and u get a lot of fame from it Eurovision is only a plus

No difference . On tuesday all 30 songs are performed back to back I guess to.give the audience the chance to listen each song once more and in a better way wednesday and thursday are performed only 15 songs per night. Friday is covers night and all 30 acts can display their interpretating skills while the competing songs are played by radios... by saturday night the public has familiarized with the 30.songs and is able to have a better idea of their faves😊
