The man named Maharishi did not "revive in its full dignity" the ancient knowledge of Building Architecture of Sthapatya Veda. He and his staff served to corrupt and short cut the knowledge for their personal gain and convenience. Reference to the sun rising in the east or setting in the west has nothing to do with proper orientation or the sun's influence on the energy produced by the structure. The chart showing influence of the different directions is made up and hogwash. The reasons for room placement are not correct. Spherical harmonics have nothing to do with creating the vaastu effect, and the vaastu effect is not understood by Eicke. A vaastu structure must be oriented correctly, but not based on spherical harmonics. The brahmasthan does not have to be limited to a park. In fact, it should have a main central structure that defines the measure of the town grid. Water bodies in the example master plans are incorrectly located, and will bring harm to the city site.
