We as kids used to always glued to Ramayana and Mahabharatha whenever it was being aired on the DD Channels... There are a Lot of Nostalgic moments associated with Doordarshan Channel. 😍😍😍

ईस एपिसोड को देखने से ये लगता है की ये एपिसोड नहीं बल्कि सच में मैं अपनी आँखों से महाभारत देख रहा हूँ क्यों इसमें जितने भी कलाकार हैं सब वही मालूम पड़ते जो सच में जैसे रहे होंगे | ( जय श्री कृष्णा )

Wow. Amazing Mahendra Kapoor was a fabulous singer. Even in 2020 his voice is such a feast for ears. His high notes, low notes everything just mesmerizes to the core.

as per kishore ji from 2:22 to 2:40 he said total cost of making mahabharat is 9 crore +/- 2 lakh. i think in 80's spending 9 crores is just equal to 100 crores approx 10 times. hats off to the production team/ casting crew/ directors/actors/musicians/ no words for this epic ..... thank god at that time we have only DD1 and we can only watch these type of serials.

in 1984/85 the total cost of Mahabharat was around 9 crore , its means it will be more than 100 crore in this time of 2021 .

Its just like that all the actor of this grand serial mahabharta is not actor. It's like real hero of that times mahbharata.

Imagine, it was made at a time when there was no computers or editing apps which could edit any video or add any special effect at a snap of fingers but was a matter of pure struggle and hardwork. Hats off!

जब हम उस वक़्त महाभारत देख रहे होते थे और हम उस वक़्त ऐसा लगता था कि हम भी महाभारत का हिस्सा हैं बाद मे जब खत्म होती थी तो लगता था कि हम तो यही है ऐसी महाभारत बनाना बहुत ही मुस्किल है आज भी वो दिन याद आते हैं उन महान कलाकारों को मेरा प्रणाम..

Seeing nitish ji as Krishna gives a very pleasant feel to me and makes me feel happy .🙏🏻🙇🏻‍♀ Feels as if he himself is lord Krishna 🙏🏻

What a melodious voice, like a knife through butter, smooth , in one flow, no fancy facial reactions or anything. Anu malik is not even the dirt on mzhendra kapoors chappels. Just like silk or butter or an exppresswayy, just pure melody. I come back every year to hear this gentleman singh. Truly gifted individual.

Its a super human effort by Legendary Shri B R Chopra and i have seen this serial in the 90's and am seeing it now as well. One of the best produced Serial and all the cast has been exceptional, from identification to execution. This serial will go down in the history as being the best unforgettable serial for Generations and will have Advt. value for centuries

Mahabharat jaisa show na kabhi bana tha aur na kabhi ban payega...iss show ke kirdaar, dialogues, music, singing sab bemisaal hai...yeh show humare rongte khade karta hai aur iss show aur usme kaam karne wale sabhi ko mera naman hai 🙏

My mother used to sing 'Binati Suniye' from this serial many times in my childhood. In fact, I was born after 'Mahabharat' was telecast - in 1995, but still it became its my favourite. Thanks Rajkamal sab, for giving the great song.

Soul stirring performances by all involved - Nitish Bharadwaj, Puneet Issar, Gajendra Chauhan, Virendra Razdan and of course Mukesh Khanna. Mahendra Kapoor ji’s voice is divine! Thanks to KZread I’m rewinding childhood memories from India sitting here in England, more than 30 years since this serial was made :). watching shri ramayan and shri mahabharat is like visiting a temple again and again. Never gets old. Makes me proud of my ancestors and makes me pray if I can even match their reflection.

I wasn't even born when this was telecasted.. but I get goosebumps listening to song, watching the epic show. It was brilliantly made in standards, ahead of its time. I thoroughly enjoy despite I have several other mahabarata version around me.
