A viking who's won World's strongest man as many times as he has he surely knows what he's talking about, rather than the weekend gym warriors out there. Good video.

Thank you VERY much for posting this unauthorisedentry01. I've always been skinny - 6ft and under 70kg until I heard what was mentioned in this vid especially about carbs. I'm now a much healthier 85kg and making strength gains I never thought possible!

you have to remember his english developed along the strongman circuit, lots of different accents, if you listen closely it sounds like english with swedish accent but some eastern european pronounciation thrown in.

Well proteins from plants dont lack most amino acids, but its often low in one or 2 essential amino acids. Combining different plant proteins it does get much better, but its usually always one step behind animal protein. Actually soy protein is not lacking in any essential amino acid and taking everything into account, its very near the queality of animal based proteins.

proteins based form plants also lack most amino acids, so each gram of protein is worth less in terms of building muscle. that combined with it inhibiting absorption of other proteins means you're getting less, less useful protein into your system.

not wrong to say that but no right either..Whey is a byproduct of cheese, after milk it processes into cheese, a liquid called milk plasma remains, whey is extracted from milk plasma.
