Rook to e8 will be the best move as it will lead to checkmate in next few moves either way. If Queen takes rook, Queen takes bishop on f6 and this is a checkmate. If Bishop takes rook, then Queen to g8 will be checkmate as the Bishop will block Black Queen from guarding g8.

Even real magnus carlsen couldn't defeat his app so what chance doe s beth stands lol😂

Got the answer for puzzle: White plays Rook to e8. If queen takes e8 then white queen will capture bishop to f6 check which is mate. Another variation is that if bishop takes rook then queen to f8 is beautiful checkmate in Chess talk words😄

First it was 2 pawns for the Knight and Magnus looked quite good. Then it became 3 pawns for the piece, then 4 pawns and ultimately 5 pawns for awhile. Love seeing unbalanced positions in chess. Too bad it doesn't happen more often.

For the puzzle: White Bishop to E6 seems like the best or most obvious option (Bishop exchange). It removes the immediate threat for the Queen when the following is executed: 1. Rook to E6 (captures Black light-square Bishop and threatens dark-square Bishop). 2. We can assume the Black Queen would be moved to E8 to threaten both the White Queen and the White Rook. 3. White Rook captures Black Queen at E8. 4. Black Rook captures White Rook at E8. 5. White Queen captures Black Rook at E8. Check. King can only move to G7. 6. White Queen to F8. Checkmate. Edit: The Black Queen can't move to E8 before sacrificing the Black Bishop because she would be threatened by the White Rook. The Black Rook could then capture the White Rook, but then the Black Rook would be threatened by the White Queen, resulting in the same win for White as I described. Edit again: I just realised if the Black Bishop was still at D7, it would defend any pieces that move to either E6 or E8. Say White Rook moves to E8 first as a sacrifice. If the Black Queen took the sacrifice of the White Rook at E8, and the White Queen moved in to capture the Black Queen, the Black Bishop would capture the White Queen, and would result in the White Bishop being the only threatening piece left in White's inventory in a faceoff against Black's 2 Bishops and Rook. In this case the best option for White is to advance the pawns, especially the pawn at C2 because once it captures the Black pawn at D6, it's virtually unthreatened aside from the Rook at A8 which could move in the meantime. I would suggest advancing the pawns at B3 and D2 alongside to either defend or replace the C2 pawn should it be threatened/captured. Altenatively, the Black Bishop could capture the White Rook sacrifice on E8, saving the Black Queen and potentially sacrificing itself to the White Queen. The White Queen would be foolish to accept this sacrifice though as the Black Queen would capture her immediately. A better move for the White Queen in this instance would be to E6. It's hard to know where things would go from here. Chances are the White Queen would be captured at some point so again, some advancing of the pawns is a good idea for White. Edit again again: I didn't account for the fact that the Black Queen, instead of moving to E8 as I initially assumed, could instead be moved to G8 to protect the Black King. This would result in a Queen exhange with the Black Rook capturing the White Queen at G8. White Bishop can move in and capture the Black Rook, and the King can capture the White Bishop. The White Rook can move to E8 for check. The Black King is forced to move to G7. White Rook to F8 for stalemate. Alternatively, the White Rook could be held off while White advances their pawns as previously described. This could result in a win for White, though it is unlikely as Black still has both their Bishops. Anyway, I have spent way too long thinking about this. Feel free to correct me on anything else I've overlooked.

Wonderful puzzle, Chess Talk... Re8 by white. If Bxe8, then Qg8 is a checkmate with the support of the light-squared bishop. And if Qxe8 then Qxf6 is a checkmate as the light-squared bishop is controlling the a2-g8 diagonal
