When Magnum went on the air, Thomas said he left the Navy because he woke up one morning 33 years old and realized he'd never been 23. I didn't understand that at the time, but a year after the last episode originally aired, I did. A year after the show went off the air, I turned 26 and realized I was never 16. Thanks for posting.

My Daddy passed away this past December and I've been rewatching Magnum again. He reminds me of my Dad. My Dad was very fit during the years Magnum was on and i loved watching the show with my Dad.

Nicely done. Magnum P.I. still gives me wonderful memories of my childhood and watching the only father figure I've ever known enjoy it. It's one of the greatest memories I have. I own the dvd sets and watch them, to this day. That Thomas Magnum laugh is the best!

I have always had a lot of affection and love in my idol TOM SELLECK, and his character THOMAZ MAGNUM in MAGNUM, P.I. Perhaps one of the best series ever produced. How not to love HAVAII, its native exuberance and the characters like T, C, RICK and HIGGINS, and all the others ... not to mention the dogs, ZEUS and APOLO. I miss you forever, through the reruns and the DVD box. I keep seeing my favorite stars and characters ... MAGNUM, P.I. FOREVER ... My special and very Brazilian hug for AnneDeGraves. By the production of this lovely video, so well elaborated and posted with much love and affection kisses for you ANNE..and BIG BIG HUG from BRAZIL

I'm from Russia. In 2000-2001 one of our TV channels bought this show. I remember watching it during my last year at school and the first year in the university. I remember only few episodes which impressed me most, but the general atmosphere of the film is still with me. Higgins saying 'Oh my God', TC's smile, Rick in a white suit... And Magnum, oh, I was really in love with him. Thank you for this video, the song matches it perfectly. There are very few random episodes of Magnum in russian internet, it's a pity. So I'd like to get the full original version and see everything from the beginning up to the end and have a time of my life!

I love this show , one of the good classics! Today's shows are no where as good as this. All the characters in the series worked well together, including the Dalmations. :) Tom selleck will be the only Magnum P.I.

This show means more to me than words can describe. I still watch an episode now and then. It was just a little before my time. I got to know it when it was ending and then saw the whole series in syndication. After quite a few years of absence from the show, I went back to it a little disappointed and wondering if my appreciation was only through the eyes of a child. I realized my flaw was watching from a modern stance and not being able to credit the show for what it did with so little. Compared to now, we were absolutely clueless in the 80's. After I was able to refocus my stance, I fell back in love with the show. As silly as this seems, I started to see Magnum's life and its similarities to mine. The show had a comedic touch but it was also extremely serious. It was, in many ways, a tribute to Vietnam Veterans. The show was filled with death. It addresses PTSD before PTSD had a an acronym. In the show, they called it, "delayed stress." Magnum lost his wife. I lost mine too....recently and many decades before her time. I loved her as Magnum loved Michelle and, in time, I will let her go. The episode where Sharon S. commits suicide hits me hard because I've been through that with a friend. Mac's death reminds me of a buddy of mine who was killed in an accident. Tom Selleck has the rare "it" quality and, although he's not renown for his acting, he was perfect for this role. His character was a cool guy but, on the inside, he was always hurting and losing as normal people do. It's such an important part of the show that the car that defines was not owned by Magnum. Neither was the estate. He was a broke vet. relying on his friends to make it. There are certain episodes that I can't watch without crying because of what they mean to me now. When I heard John H. (Higgins) died, I cried. A lot of people have made fun of this show and I don't fault them. It's an easy target now but it still means a lot to me. If I ever met any of the characters, I would simply thank them for their unknown contribution to my life. Tom S. is in his 70's now??!! His current show seems to be well-received and I'm happy for him. It bugged me when the media talked about his breakdown after trouble with a woman he met, and married, on Magnum PI. As an actor, he had trouble outrunning Magnum. On the other hand, I cheered how fiercely he defended the role when it was being considered as a movie. I would have so hated that. Little did I now at 12 or 13 that I was being given a gift that would last a lifetime. I can't see myself ever leaving the show. It must mean a lot to you, Anne. Thank you for this video. Any fan of Thomas Sullivan Magnum is a friend of mine. RIP, John Hillerman!!
