It will be available for PS, PC, Xbox even Switch. And you could explore Hogwarts in previous games, 5 and 6 was somehow open to explore, not the best games, but still good, just old.

I can't wait to see how far this game will let you explore! It sounds like that whatever you can think of is possible here. That alone is already magic.

As a Harry Potter fan I'm super excited for this game. Been waiting for this since it's announcement in 2020. It's coming out on nintendo switch as well but the PlayStation version with probably be way better.

If you've always wanted to explore the grounds of Hogwarts there are several HP games for older consoles where you can do just that, obviously not as good graphics as Legacy and I can imagine this new one will be very much more fleshed out but I thoroughly enjoyed playing them when I was younger

Don’t re-read the books. Listen to the audiobooks read by Jim Dale instead. You could search the whole world and never find a better reader than him. He holds a world record for book 5, in that he voiced over 150 characters and all of them sound unique. He truly makes listening to him read an even better experience than the movies.

The size of the world is unknown at this point however in the team interview video that they showed after the SOP, they showed part of the map. I say part of the map because what they showed was just 6 sections of the map labeled 5-4, 5-5, 5-6, and 6-4, 6-5, 6-6. these numbered labels are probably for the devs, but looking at the scale of the objects on the map compared to actual size in game and assuming the map has the other numbered sections from 1-1 all the way up, its likely that the map is 6 times larger than the preview they showed in the dev interview video. On top of that, there is a lot of depth to the map as well with dungeons and caves. as far as companions, we only saw 3 so far, 1 gryffindor, 1 slytherin, and 1 hufflepuff. they said that there is at least 1 ravenclaw companion but they also mentioned there will be many more people you can talk to in your commonrooms. I think its likely you can befriend anyone from any house given that we see our character with each one while wearing gryffindore robes.

Ive been waiting for a HP open world game for SO long. I played the old HP games on gamecube when they came out. One thing though- THIS IS NOT PS EXCLUSIVE. (2:25) they are having a lot of issues with people saying this right now, it is *NOT* exclusive to playstation. It will be available on playstation, xbox, switch, and pc ON LAUNCH.

The combat looks a lot like Fable to me with the highlight targeting. That with dodging, countering, and spell combinations I think it's actually going to be quite fun. Add to that Skyrim style gameplay in The Wizarding World, ITS GONNA BE SO GOOD!!!

I've said it before. I'll say it again. Hogwarts Legacy already is my "Game of the Year". I don't care about industry awards. As far as my own anticipation for a game, no game has matched my anticipation level for Hogwarts Legacy. Not a one in decades of gaming.

The year is 1890. We know from the developers that our avatar is a "New" student starting at Hogwarts late as a 5th. year student. The developers never say our avatar is a "Beginner". His classroom duel partner ASSUMES he is a beginner. The result of the duel shows us that our avatar is NOT a beginner. This game is BIGGER than you think. Exploration in this game is huge. The level of detail is amazing. The main story-line in this game is "YOU the Student at Hogwarts". There is something about you that could destroy the whole wizarding world. Hogwarts Legacy appears to have at least five in-game story-lines: "Goblin Rebellion", "Mysterious Corruption (red eyes)", "Poachers of Magical Creatures", "Merlin's Legacy", and "Ancient Magic". The game design allows us to support, oppose, or ignore any or all story-lines as we choose. This game is totally about choices. There is no single story-line linear game-play that forces you to do anything. Game design supports many different styles and levels of combat. You can choose to do no combat at all in this game and there will still be tons of stuff to do. You get to choose what you learn in your classes and what knowledge you use in the world. (Don't skip your classes, as class is a major way you level up your skills and abilities). You get to build, craft, brew, grow, tame, collect and fight as you choose, when you choose. Explore the open world, all estimated 36 sq.Km (possibly 36 sq.Miles?) of it. And at every corner you will be able to choose good/evil. But Beware! Last year's reveal trailer shows that Azkaban Prison and Dementors are in the game. They are there for a reason. "Mischief Managed."

should be able to befriend any of the choices regardless of house. the character was wearing griffindor robes both when they introduced the griffindor friend and the hufflepuff friend so it would stand to reason that all friend options are available regardless of house. perhaps they could make it slightly more challenging to start the friendship if they aren't in the same house but as open as the game is looking it shouldn't be too restrictive.

In a bad way ? Probably not much. As it’s single player only and they’ve delayed the release, I don’t see many things that they showed being removed for any reason. Most of the undelivered features with games these days are related to multiplayer or games with short release cycles. This has been in the works for a long time, I don’t see them screwing up.

I can never consider myself a potter-head as I've never read any of the books. I've seen the movies which are non canon along with the first fantastic beasts movie.

Something like Skyrim but better. Please Chris, when you own this game, make it a regular series on your channel

No it is not exclusive to PS5....it will in fact be on a variety of consoles and pc.

I’m lucky to have been at the opening of the Wizarding World at Universal & go every yr. Perhaps the only perk of living in FL. 7 hrs in line felt like nothing. I’ve never been able to fully enjoy the Lego versions, it just took me out of the story. I’m so excited!
